I’m here with another Brazilian Wax review from Shobha. Are you sick of hearing me talk about this place? Sorry, I really love them! If you’ve read my other reviews and/or tweets you’d know why. Plus, they’re accommodating. I was pressed for an appointment, and Jessica made it happen.
About a week or so ago, I was finally able to visit Shobha’s newest location in the Financial District of New York City, Shobha FiDi. I’ve been dying to visit this location since it is closer than the Madison Ave location I frequent for my Brazilian wax service. It took me under 30 minutes to get there from my job, and from my home it would be about the same, which is great! It takes an hour or longer depending on how the trains and buses are running for me.
I arrived on-time, and was taken in for my Brazilian wax at least two to three minutes after my arrival, which is impressive. My wax technician was Tahira. Just like all of the other Shobha technician’s she was friendly, held conversation, and made my Brazilian wax service and experience as comfortable as possible. I mean, it’s a wax, there’s but so much comfort you can get.
As with all of the Shobha locations I’ve visited, which would be four in total, Shobha FiDi was no different. It was just as clean, just as inviting. It had nice displays, and was bright, and the layout made it seem roomy.
After my visit, I met up with my husband, and told him I went to Shobha’s newest location to get a Brazilian xax, he stated “Why didn’t you go to visit your homegirl (Karmjeet) at Madison?” I simply stated that Shobha FiDi is closer, and all of the Brazilian wax technician’s are great.
Recently, Shobha increased their service pricing. Instead of paying $57, the Brazilian wax service was $60. I’m not complaining since another place I go to from time-to-time charges upwards of $80.
I’m definitely making Shobha FiDi my new “spot” for my Brazilian wax.

Did you take advantage of the Shobha FiDi promotion I had in May offering 25% off of a service? What was your Shobha FiDi experience?

I still haven't tried a wax here yet, I need to. I've been hearing about you going here for YEARS! lol Have you heard of this company called Uni Wax? Supposedly they have this special wax that doesn't require cloth or strips for the wax removal. Maybe it's similar to the one I got at Bliss, they just removed it off with the wax itself but people who have gone to this uni place claim they have very minimal pain. I'll believe it when I feel it lol
