Last week Google announced they are closing down 7 products that were not as successful as they had hoped – including the Google Friend Connect. Google states,
“Google Friend Connect—Friend Connect allows webmasters to add social features to their sites by embedding a few snippets of code. We’re retiring the service for all non-Blogger sites on March 1, 2012. We encourage affected sites to create a Google+ page and place a Google+ badge on their site so they can bring their community of followers to Google+ and use new features like Circles and Hangouts to keep in touch. Google Friend Connect will be available up until March 2012, giving me approximately four months to encourage you to follow this blog through my RSS Feed, HelloCotton, Bloggers, BlogLovin’, Twitter, Facebook or through a new Google + page (I haven’t decided if I will make a Google+ page).
I am upset about this since it took me some time to get to nearly 600 followers on my blog. Now, I will more than likely lose a lot of you if you are not aware of this change, and do not follow me via another avenue, which sucks entirely.
Before March comes Please follow this blog through the following if you already have not to ensure you receive updated posts on reviews, tutorials and giveaways!

I hate the new change! But I'm following you here!
