As a Christmas gift, because I’m always looking for new ways to enhance and correct my crazy brows, my sister purchased a coupon for me through GILT to visit Damone Roberts Midtown brow and beauty bar in the Fashion District of Manhattan.

Upon entering, it is a quaint, clean space broken up into rooms. The receptionist was extremely nice (especially, since I was about 30-minutes late to my appointment).
I have what you may call, troubled eyebrows. After plucking the ends of my eyebrows off my 1st year in college (never, I repeat, NEVER listen to your older sister) my brows never grew the same.
My aesthetician at Damone Roberts Midtown was Gina. She was very welcoming and made me feel extremely comfortable. I thought the coupon only allowed waxing but, Gina asked about my brow history (including my crazy brow plucking story which she found very amusing) and I told her that waxing and threading make me break out badly. I have really sensitive skin. She offered to pluck my eyebrows because it’s the only way I can shape my brows with minimal irritation and the plucking doesn’t bother me at all. This was an additional $5, which wasn’t much to give up especially since I didn’t want to walk around with red-hot skin and tiny marks in my brow area.

Gina cleaned my brows and surrounding skin and went over with me exactly what she was planning to do. After my brows were shaped, she placed a little bit of Damone Roberts: Brow Gain under the arch and on the ends of brows. She covered it with concealer (it leaves a white residue) and continued by filling in my brows and defining it with a pencil. I must say that I loved my eyebrows!
Gina, filled-in my brows, which actually came out very natural-looking, after she was done shaping them. I loved the end result.
I decided to purchase the Brow Gain ($35) at the end of my session.

It takes approximately 6-8 weeks for you to see results and she instructed that I use it at night especially since I don’t normally wear make-up during the day to cover up the thin white film it may leave behind. I will post a review in a few weeks.
I didn’t do much research on the Salon or Damone Roberts until I came home. Unfortunately, the price to have Gina do my eyebrows on a regular basis is not in my budget, $50 + $5 for tweezing only. I will definitely go back for special occasions.
