New Purchase: Trying something new for hair removal

If you follow me on twitter and have been an avid reader of my blog, you’ll know that I have no problem doing my own hair removal or having someone, mostly my sister do it for me.  The last time I waxed something outside of a salon, was when I had my sister wax my belly with the nair hair removal strips.  She doesn’t have anymore of those, and conveniently enough AVON is having a special on their Bath & Body products (Buy 1 Try 1 for 99 Cents) so I picked up two kits.  It came up to $15.99 for both items + S&H.

This is what I got…

SKIN SO SOFT Fresh & Smooth Facial Hair Removal Kit ($12)

SKIN SO SOFT Fresh & Smooth Hair Removal Microwave Wax Kit for Face and Body ($15)

I will review the products when I receive them and let you know my honest thoughts.

In the meantime, if you’re interested in taking advantage of the special, CLICK HERE

NOTW & Mini Haul – Lashes, Clothing, Accessories & Boots

I finally got around to wearing Essie’s Little Brown Dress. I purchased it when it first came out.  Before this, I had Essie’s Chocolate Kissese which is a little too much of a brick red for me.I am happy with the color.  It’s a true chocolate brown; something I’ve been looking for quite some time now.    I LOVE it!

I bought some Red Cherry Lashes ($.140)  from Beauty Shop OC along with some Duo Adhesive (I had run out).

Here are some items I ordered from Forever21

Fab Cable knit Sweater Tunic – $13.80 & A Pair of Gold & Black Earings with faux pearls & black & gold ring with rhinestones

Lacquered Rhinestone Strip Ring – $2.80

Fabulous Finds Hooded Striped Cardigan – $22.50

Steve Madden Olster Boot – Love them! I ordered them from Piperlime.  they’re really comfy and perfect to wear with leggings.

Haul: Hair Removal Edition

I purchased these two hair removal creams from Avon’s Skin So Soft line; Fresh & Smooth Sensitive Skin Hair Removal Cream ($8) and the Fresh & Smooth Facial Hair Removal Cream ($5).  I haven’t used either, but a co-worker of mine suggested the facial hair removal cream since she’s been using it for years. I needed something to handle my little lip hairs .. I am too scared to wax or thread them away.  BTW: I’ve been practicing threading!

NOTE: I did use the hair removal cream for the body (larger container) on my sister’s underarms (she’s been my test dummy for years), and although it says it’s for sensitive skin, it burned her; however, I tested it on both of my knee caps, and had no reaction.  The cream took about 2-3 minutes to work, and wiped off easily.  I’ll have a review soon after I use it.

They do have a waxing kit that I want to try.

How do you get rid of your hair (facial & body)?
