Haul/Review: Viva Glam Cindy & Gaga, Maybelline Eye Studio Gel liners

I have been searching for the Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liners for the longest; I went to several different pharmacies in my area, such as Duane Reade, Rite Aid, and CVS.  I FINALLY found the  Gel Liners at the Duane Reade on the Corner of Montague Street & Court Street (Brooklyn Heights).  For my Brooklyn people who are searching for them, they had a good amount there, unlike the one on Jay St & Fulton.

The Gel Liner’s come in 4 colors:
1. Black
2. Brown
3. Grey (Purchased)
4. Plum (Purchased)
Maybelline’s Claims: Only our oil-free formula can hold highly concentrated pigments in a clear gel base.

  • So color is more intense and lines resist wear for 24 hours.
  • Smudge-proof and Water-proof.
  • The most intense line for lasting drama.

Price: $9.99

I also purchased this, L’Oreal’s Telescopic Explosion.  It was suggested to me by one of my Sorors.  I tried it last night. I don’t really like it.  For $9.49 I think it could be a whole lot better. What my MF 2000 Calorie Mascara did for me in one application, I had to apply at least 4 coats to get the look I wanted with L’Oreal’s Telescopic Explosion.  It didn’t clump or flake, nor did it smudge.  It just didn’t do anything for my lashes.

I’ve saved the BEST for last!  Viva Glam’s Cindy & Gaga! (Available for a limited time – 12 months)
Price: $14 – All proceeds of VIVA GLAM Lipstick and Lipglass is donated to the M·A·C AIDS Fund to support men, women, and children living with HIV and AIDS.
I LOVE them BOTH! I wore Gaga last night lined my lips with Chestnut Liner, layered Pinkarat Lustreglass … This is how it looked.

MAC Spring Colour Forecast Collection Mini Haul

I went to the MAC store today to purchase a few items from the Spring Colour Collection.  I just bought two Blush Ombre’s (Vintage Grape, and Ripe Peach), and two lipglasses (Gold Dust & Kumquat).  The rest of the stuff was just okay in my opinion after seeing them in-person.

Below are some pictures of them.  I also did a mini review on youtube (click here to see).

(L: Ripe Peach, R: Vintage Grape)
(L:Gold Dust, R: Kumquat)

This is a bonus.  I was looking for a nice pink lipstick.  I got ‘Girl About Town’  I LOVE it! Especially with ‘Pink Poodle’ Lipglass on-top!

Beauty Haul – Lash galore, eyeshadow primers, foundation

In my previous post, I mentioned I ordered a few things over the past week since I’m trying to build my kit (if you’re wondering why… click here).

I ordered 20 pairs of eyelashes from NYX cosmetics since they had their $1 sale.  I should have ordered more though .:sad face:.  I also ordered Urban Decay’s Original Sin Primer Potion Duo from Ulta Cosmetics (I had a 20% off coupon for it).  Both my lashes and the Urban Decay Primer came today.  I was EXCITED!!! I LOVE getting packages.  This week, I also received my Graftobian HD Creme Foundation Palette from Camera Ready Cosmetics.

If you didn’t order anything while NYX was having their sale, you definitely missed out!

Urban Decay’s Original Sin Eyeshadow Primer Potion Duo

Urban Decay’s Original Sin Eyeshadow Primer Potion Duo raves to be “The best in the industry!”  It’s claims are that it will give you more vibrant color, all-day wear, and absolutely NO creasing.
The Original Primer Potion dries invisibly, while the Sin dries to a metallic, champagne color (shown in picture).  I haven’t tried them yet since I received them today, but I’ll definitely do a review on them in the near future.

Graftobian HD Creme Foundation Palette
18 Warm Shades in one palette (comparison chart).  It’s great for MUA’s, especially if you work on people of different ethnic backgrounds and shades.  The packaging is light & convenient.  The palette also has a mirror.  Palettes are refillable.
