I purchased these two hair removal creams from Avon’s Skin So Soft line; Fresh & Smooth Sensitive Skin Hair Removal Cream ($8) and the Fresh & Smooth Facial Hair Removal Cream ($5).  I haven’t used either, but a co-worker of mine suggested the facial hair removal cream since she’s been using it for years. I needed something to handle my little lip hairs .. I am too scared to wax or thread them away.  BTW: I’ve been practicing threading!

NOTE: I did use the hair removal cream for the body (larger container) on my sister’s underarms (she’s been my test dummy for years), and although it says it’s for sensitive skin, it burned her; however, I tested it on both of my knee caps, and had no reaction.  The cream took about 2-3 minutes to work, and wiped off easily.  I’ll have a review soon after I use it.

They do have a waxing kit that I want to try.

How do you get rid of your hair (facial & body)?

Have you tried any of these products? If so, how did you like or not like them?

  1. I hate shaving, so I use veet, and I love it even more now that it comes in a bottle with a pump. For facial hair I wax or thread

  2. I use veet or nair and sometimes I shave…especially if I'm in a rush and don't have time to sit with the veet or nair cream. I use the nair facial hair remover for my "little lip hairs" lol…it works fine. I use it once every few months…I'm used to the smell but I'll wait for your review of the Avon before I switch.

  3. Im scared to use the creams on my skin cause i have very sensitive skin. I just suck it up and get threaded at my local mall. It hurts when they get to the side of my lip but its all worth it. When its all done my lip area looks so clean and it last for a good while

  4. I have uses Nair and sally hansnn for my facial hairs and Sally Hanson wins hand down! The smell is bearable it works! I want to try one of the epilady machines but I'm scared LOL

  5. I'm gonna try these—I love the Skin So Soft shaving gel. I usually just shave…lol. Bad, I know.

  6. i've never shaved my face but for my legs i've found that my best bet is the razor. i don't really like the razor but the creams tear me up. the last time i shaved my legs i used nair and had an itch attack. i couldn't get that stuff off fast enough. if i could find a good cream/get based remover then that would be good, but for now it's just the razor and my hubby's shaving cream (barbosol). lol.
