8 Questions Tag

8 Questions Tag : ) Hey everyone! I was tagged by Hershley at Hershley’s Sweet Kiss!  Make sure you guys check out her page!

The person who tags you comes up with 8 questions, which you answer. Then you come up with 8 questions of your own for the people you tag! Here are the questions I have to answer:

1. When was your first Kiss?

– To be honest, I do not remember.  I guess it wasn’t that special ..

2. Whats you favorite Song on ALL time…not just a trendy song?

– Prince “Diamonds & Pearls” (It’s going to be one of my wedding songs)

3. What is your favorite make up product?

– Lip gloss.  My favorite one is Nymphette by MAC

4. How many pictures you take for your blog, compared to how many actual make it to your blog?

– I’d say 80% of the ones I actually take for my blog make the cut, especially since I don’t take that many specifically for my blog. Personal pictures are another story.

5. Do you like Nicki Minaj? (do you know who she is?)

-Not a fan. Love her makeup though.  I know who she is because she went to high school with my sister.

6. Whats you favorite Book?

– Kite Runner & A Thousand Splendid Suns. Another book, which I’m reading now, Eat, Pray, Love is another fave & a life changer!

7. Whats one thing you regret doing in the past year?

– No regrets

8. If the guy of your dreams could do one of the following things, which one do you pick?

– I’d say food & shopping spree since he already does the full body massage & romantic night thing.

Wonderful Site for Skincare tips, products, and reviews

I can’t remember how, but I came across MySkin.com which is a wonderful site that enables you to find effective skincare products for your skin type. How you ask?  Myskin.com provides an assessment with a few questions regarding your skin type, how your skin manages with the sun, products you use etc.  After the assessment is completed, product recommendations are presented to you.

Currently they have over 80,000 products in their data base, and they tell me they’re adding more each day.  Several Amway products that I use aren’t up there. Hopefully they will be added in the future.

With this information, they give you new suggestions of products that are similar to those you’re currently using. They also show you products that other users rated with your exact same skin characteristics. So, you’re getting recommendations and are able to see actual reviews from your peers.

You are given the option to purchase your products via links they provide to online retailers. Don’t get it twisted, MySkin.com doesn’t market or sell products, they just provide the information for you by listing multiple sites that sell the product you want/need. Another perk of this site is that they notify you of when your product is on sale!

MySkin.com also has other cool features, such as a blog, and forum.  Think of it as the Specktra.net of skincare.  I’d definitely recommend it for people who are interested in gaining more skincare product knowledge, and improving their skincare.

Check the site out!

Review: Veet Spray-on Hair Removal Cream works in just 3 minutes

I received, for free, this 5.1 oz can of Veet Spray-On Hair Removal Cream for dry skin at last months Shecky’s Girl’s Night Out event I went to.

Product Description:

New Veet Spray-on Hair Removal Cream is a great innovation in skin care.

Developed for women who desire easier depilation – you just apply it fast and simply directly from spray onto the required areas, with no need of spreading. Then the cream is removed in the usual way to result in a velvety look and smooth skin.

There are three(3) different formulas: Dry Skin, Sensitive, and Supreme Essence

Areas used for: Legs, bikini, underarm.

Working Time: 3-5 Minutes (6 minutes Maximum)

Price: $5.99 (Walgreen’s)

My thoughts:

I’ve used this product a few times (legs only) since I got it.  It works well although, I will probably never buy it again.  I’ve never been into depilatory creams specifically because of the scent.  This one has that familiar scent.

Pros: Works as stated. My legs are smooth, and soft.  It works in a short amount of time.  It definitely beats shaving when you don’t have time to shave.  Results last nearly 2 weeks.

Cons: Scent.  It has that horrible scent that any hair removal cream has. It kind of reminds me of a relaxer. Another thing I didn’t like about it was that it burned my skin a little. I don’t have any physical burn marks, but there was a burning sensation when I used it for the 3 minutes.  I didn’t dare go over that, especially since I have a very sparse amount of hair on my legs, so it wouldn’t make sense anyway.  One last thing I didn’t like was the distribution of the product while being sprayed – it was so uneven.  You can see that in the above picture.
