Blogging While Brown Meetup
Yesterday evening was the Blogging While Brown Meetup, which was held at the Houndstooth Pub in the City. The organizer for this meeting was the founder of Cup Cakes Take The Cake and Editor of PepsiWe Inspire.com, Nichelle Stephens. I attended with my friend and fellow blogger, Janique from HerGoodybag.com and our other friend Shelly, whom we went to high school with.
There was an array of bloggers there, from technology, fashion, lifestyle, and beauty. Sorry if I missed a genre. It was great meeting all of them, and being able to network. Thanks Nichelle for putting this meetup together.

Can you guess my favorite flavor of tea?
My favorite of the three is Tazo Chai Spiced Black Tea Latte Concentrate. You’ve probably had this in Starbucks if you’ve ever gotten a Chai Tea Latte (iced or hot). I LOVE IT!!! It’s easy to make too! Yo’re better off buying this for $3.49 instead of paying $5 a cup for it at Starbucks.
The Celestial Seasonings Chai Tea in Sweet Coconut Thai is something I purchased today from Fairway. This one is a spiced red tea. A friend of mine suggested I try coconut tea, but I was only able to find this. It tastes good.
The last box of Celestial Seasonings Chai Tea in Indian Spice is a black tea like the Tazo. Tazo tastes much better .:IMO:.
Do you have a favorite tea?
If anyone has ever tried a good coconut tea they can recommend let me know please.
Phyto Bastille Day Soiree & CoverFX Purchase
Yesterday evening, myself along with Janique of Hergoodybag.com attended the Bastille Day Soiree hosted at Phyto Universe. The event lasted from 6pm – 8pm, and included a mini French lesson, the importance of having a good skincare regimen, the difference between American and Europeen women when it comes to taking care of your skin and body, and haircare.
Bastille Day is the French national holiday. In France, it is formally called La Fête Nationale (National Celebration) and commonly le quatorze juillet (the fourteenth of July). Bastille Day commemorates the Storming of the Bastille of July 14th, 1789.
The French lesson that was given by Alliance Francaise was helpful, in that it enabled us to know what the many different terms were on the product labels. We learned terms…

One thing that stood out most to me was that in Europe, females begin to get facials as young as age 14. AND facials are done as often as once a month! In contrast, American women view facials as a luxury and not a necessity.

Protecting your hair from the sun is important to keep it from becoming damaged and dry.
Going to the beach or to the pool?
Put Condition in your hair BEFORE you go into the pool or to the beach. This helps control the chlorine, and prevents color change.
