On My Radar: IMAN Skin Tone Evener BB Creme SPF 15

BB Creme’s have been all of the rage in 2012, and FINALLY, there’s a shade range for the darker skinned girls like myself – the IMAN Skin Tone Evener BB Creme SPF 15.  I haven’t really engrossed myself into the BB Creme craze; however, I did purchase the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB 8-in-1 Beauty Balm Skin Perfector.  I purchased it in medium deep, which is too light.  The dark, is too dark.  I wound up just using the medium shade in the center of my face for a little highlight.  It also works as a decent under makeup base.

IMAN Skin Tone Evener BB Creme SPF 15
The IMAN Skin Tone Evener BB Crème SPF 15 is described as:

“…the ultimate “beauty balm”, skin care and color all in one. With a unique blend of Skin Tone Evener Complex, SPF, essential botanical extracts and multi vitamins, it evens out discoloration, hydrates and protects your complexion in one step. In a gorgeous range of six semi-sheer colors that compliment your complexion undetectably. With or with makeup, it’s the must-have product for all seasons, all ages, all skin types and skin tones.”

The IMAN Skin Tone Evener BB Creme SPF 15 comes in the following 5 shades:

Sand Light
Sand Medium
Clay Medium
Clay Medium Deep
Earth Medium
Earth Medium Deep

I’m probably going to pick up Clay Medium Deep for myself.

Cost: $20

These BB Cremes can be purchased at Drugstore.com, Walmart.com, Ulta.com, Walgreens.com & select Walgreens

On My Radar: MAC PRO Conceal and Correct Palette

I love MAC Studio Finish Concealers.  No matter what brands I try, I always go back to using them.  They’re easy to use, easy to blend, can be sheered out; overall, they are extremely versatile.  The  PRO Conceal & Correct Palette is a professional palette of four Studio Finish Concealers and two Studio Finish Corrector shades.  They come in Light, Medium, Medium/Deep, and Dark for $40 each or $24 each with your PRO Artist discount.

When I saw the promo’s for the PRO Conceal and Correct Palette I became excited!  I haven’t been too excited for MAC releases over the past month, so this is big for me.  I’m excited because it features my favorite concealers, plus correctors in one palette.  MAC has made it easy to tote around concealers/correctors in your kit.  Usually, I have my three Make Up For Ever Corrector Palettes plus, concealer and foundation.  I’ve been cutting down on what I carry around by using my Graftobian Palette, which has been a lifesaver.  Ultimately, I would like to purchase the PRO Concealer & Correct Palette as long as my budget allows.  For $24, it really isn’t that bad; it breaks down to $4/per product in each palette.

FOTD: Stila Natural Finish Oil-Free Foundation & MAC Ruby Woo

Here’s my face of the day from Christmas Day.  I used the Stila Natural Finish Oil-Free Foundation & MAC Ruby Woo.  I kept it really simple for Christmas day. Red can dress up any look, which is why I chose MAC Ruby Woo lipstick.  It’s been my favorite red lipstick all-year.

Stila Natural Finish Oil-Free Foundation

I purchased the  Stila Natural Finish Oil-Free Foundation from Hautelook.com.  They had it on sale for I think $15 and I had a credit, so I wound up with only paying the shipping.  The foundation arrived on Christmas eve.  I used it that day, as well as for the look above.  Would you believe that the freaking bottle broke 🙁 after only using it twice?!?  I was loving this foundation.  It gave a nice, natural finish.  I didn’t get oily.  It matched my skin perfectly!  My sister said I looked airbrushed.  I’m going to repurchase it.  It’s on sale on the Stila website for $19 so I will re-purchase it.

Christmas Haul: Santa brought me an Urban Decay Naked Palette (or two) & More

I hope everyone has enjoyed the 2012 holiday season with your families and friends.  Mine was great!  Honestly,  I wasn’t expecting to receive anything not just because I’m an adult, but the focus in my family is usually on the children.  I am grateful for everything I received this past Christmas, especially my Urban Decay Naked Palette.  I received Naked 1 and Naked 2!

I was shocked as heck to see not one, but two Sephora boxes. I thought they contained a bottle or two of the perfumes that were on my wish list. But, nope! I got the Urban Decay Naked Palette 1 & Naked 2 Palette.  I’ve wanted the original Urban Decay Naked Palette for the longest time, plus, I figured I could use either one in my kit.  My husband, the person who gifted the its, to me thought the same thing!  Thank you, hubby!

I also received this nice brooch from my sister that says, “I Do Makeup”. It’s cute. I’m happy she remembered I wanted one of these. Thanks, Kinda!

For my blogging/vlogging, I received a Vista Explorer 60-Inch Lightweight Tripod with Tripod Bag.  I was in desperate need of one.  I am so not good at taking self-portraits or the mirror photos.  Plus, for myself, I purchased a Canon VIXIA HF R30 Full HD 51x Image Stabilized Optical Zoom Camcorder–Wi-Fi Enabled with 8 GB Internal Drive Dual SDXC Card Slots and 3.0 Touch LCD
and lights to start vlogging again on my youtube channel (MakeupbyKimPorter). I ordered my PBL STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY VIDEO LIGHT KIT CONTINUOUS LIGHTING KIT VIDEO LIGHING EZ 24in x 24in SOFTBOX by PBL
Christmas Day, and they haven’t come yet.  As soon as they do, my goal is to crank out at least one video per week

My husband also got for me a plum-colored Furla handbag – the Piper Tote. It was on my pinterest board. I love it! The clor is beautiful. The bag is lightweight. The bag is just big enough for me to fit the necessities instead of lugging around things I don’t need, as most women do when they have large purses.

I got these cute red flats from Zara, and yes, that’s a mustache on them.

I also received some scarves, riding pants, and pajamas.
