I picked up the 1.7 fl oz bottle of Kate Walsh’s Billionaire Boyfriend when Hautelook.com had it on sale for $19.00 (original price $65.00). It was something I had on my fragrance wish list from last Christmas, and at $19.00, why would I pass that up?
Billionaire Boyfriend Notes:
Bergamot, Tangerine, Green Lush Leaf, Black Jasmine, Black Velvet Orchid, Gardenia, Patchouli Flower, Amber, Cistus, Vetiver, Sandalwood.
I first tried Billionaire Boyfriend during one of my trips to Sephora. Something about the scent, once it died down caught my attention. I must admit that in the beginning, it doesn’t smell Billionaire-ish to me at all; it actually smells a bit cheap. In the beginning, it comes off a little strong and too sweet for my taste; however, as I mentioned before, once it dies down and meld with your body chemistry, you have a nice, seductive and feminine scent.
The bottle of the Billionaire Boyfriend perfume is supposed to be reminiscent of a special reserve champagne bottle with an antiqued platinum-mirrored finish which is supposed to represent “… the wealth and glamour of an old world atelier. “ To be honest, the bottle looks cheap. I don’t care for the rhinestones around the neck of the bottle top, nor do I care for the semi-matte, platinum-like finish.
If I had to re-purchase Billionaire Boyfriend at the original price, I would not. I just don’t like how loud and sweet it is in the beginning, which lasts for at least 2-hours, until it finally dies down into a more favorable scent.
