Let’s say you’ve been keeping up with this blog, right? Yes, agree! In that case, you know that at the start of this year, one of my goals was to achieve healthier hair.  Lately, I’ve been incorporating different hair products and treatments into my hair care regimen like the Grow Gorgeous Back into the Roots 10-Minute Stimulating Scalp Masque.

Grow Gorgeous describes their Back into the Roots 10-Minute Stimulating Scalp Masque as “…ultra-stimulating cooling 10-minute scalp masque with vitamins, caffeine and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid.”

Are you familiar with a scalp masque? I haven’t, unless you count the homemade “pre-poo” treatments I used to make when I first started taking my hair care seriously. Otherwise, scalp masque’s are new to me. But, I do like the idea behind a masque for your scalp since your scalp is the gateway to healthier hair – or not.  So why not try a scalp masque that claims to revive my roots in ten minutes, and zero-in on my scalp to facilitate visible hair growth? I mean, my goal is for my hair to grow, especially in the areas where it’s thinning, so the Grow Gorgeous Back into the Roots 10-Minute Stimulating Scalp Masque was a great choice to add to my hair care routine.

The Grow Gorgeous Back into the Roots 10-Minute Stimulating Scalp Masque was easy to add to my hair care routine, especially since my wash days include some form of pre-wash scalp treatment consisting of a mix of oils. Instead of using my homemade stuff, I used Back into the Roots, and let it sit on for… hmm…way longer than 10-minutes – maybe 20. It was easy to apply, especially since it had the pointed applicator tip. It kind of reminded me of when I applied the base to my scalp prior to my relaxers.

Grow Gorgeous Back Into the Roots review

After the Grow Gorgeous Back into the Roots 10-Minute Stimulating Scalp Masque  was applied, I walked around my house and went about my business. The texture of the scalp masque is a light cream, but it isn’t at all greasy.  I’m impressed at how non-messy it was in comparison to my homemade hair treatments.  I like that it didn’t drip down like the oils I’ve been using, which is a plus.

Stimulating is one of the words used to describe the Grow Gorgeous Back into the Roots 10-Minute Stimulating Scalp Masque, and stimulating it is.  Instantly, I felt tingling, which I’m suspecting is coming from the menthol contained in the scalp masque. Some people may find the tingling sensation to be too much, but, I, on the other hand enjoyed it.  Just use your own discretion if you do end up using this product.

When I was ready to rinse out the product, and finally wash my hair, I noticed how easily the product rinsed, and how clean and refreshed my scalp had already felt.  My scalp was hydrated, and non-itchy, even for a few days after use, which during the winter, is unheard of for me.  Also, the tingling sensation did subside, and all I was left with was a cool-feeling scalp.

As far as hair growth goes, it’s too early to tell, but, I have noticed that the area around my hair line is starting to look a bit thicker. Hopefully, through continued use of this product, along with my diet, and vitamins I take, my hair growth will continue to flourish.

The Grow Gorgeous Back into the Roots is a great scalp masque to use if you’re looking to improve the health of your scalp, stimulate hair growth and circulation of your scalp.

The Grow Gorgeous Back into the Roots 10-Minute Stimulating Scalp Masque retails for $28/ 240 ml, and can be purchased at growgorgeous.com.

Hair Care Tuesdays: Aveda Smooth Infusion Naturally Straight Review

Aveda Smooth Infusions Naturally Straight

If you are anything like me, you’d love Aveda products. I am not saying this because I own an Aveda Concept Salon – rather because I love the results that I receive as well as the results that my clients achieve from the products, especially the Aveda Smooth Infusion Naturally Straight hair product.

If I had to choose one of their products to take with me on a deserted island-It would definitely be the Aveda Smooth Infusion Naturally Straight. As an “naturalista”, this is one of the few products that keeps my blow-outs looking fresh to def’ day after day. This adds a new meaning to  hair “on fleek.”

When I was presented with the Aveda Smooth Infusion Naturally Straight product by my Aveda Representative, one of the claims for the Aveda Smooth Infusion Naturally Straight included that it would keep your hair naturally straight for up to 5 weeks. I literally looked at her with a side-eye – like, ‘really?!?’ But after using the product, I must say that if I did not wash my hair and wear it curly in between my blow-outs,  I am sure that it would’ve held up to its claim.

I love that the Aveda Smooth Infusion Naturally Straight is light weight and did not cause a build up or weigh my hair down at all. I also felt like it made my hair shiny and a bit more full as well. I love that it has an anti-frizz component to it, which is especially important with Georgia’s weather.

I recommend that you use the Aveda Smooth Infusion Style Prep Smoother prior to using the Aveda Smooth Infusion Naturally Straight as a prep for your hair.  Also, make sure that you part your hair in four sections and apply the product prior to blow drying it.

Aveda Smooth Infusion Naturally Straight retails for $28.

If you are interested in trying it out- please let me know and I will give your $5 off with code KPMUA15. I love offering perks to this community because you all are super fabulous. If you are interested, please inbox me at info@preeminencesalon.com. If you want to try a sample.

If you currently use or have tried the product, let me know what was your experience.

Monat Global Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive Review

Monat Global Rejuvinuqe Oil Intensive

PR SAMPLE

Today, I’m reviewing the Monat Global Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive that I received from the iFabbo online shop.

Monat Global Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive is a multi-tasking oil that can be used on your hair, skin, and nails.  Winter, I believe is the perfect time to test out products such as this one since it allows me to see whether or not the product, in this case, the Monat Global Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive, truly remedied my problems.

This winter has already been pretty harsh on my hair, skin, and nails causing them to become dry and brittle.  My hair was pretty much lifeless, and my cuticles were dry and cracking.  Plus, when it’s colder out, I tend to turn up the heat in my house and increase the water temperatures while showering, which can dry out your skin.  Thanks to the unique property of the Monat Global Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive, which mimics the body’s natural oils, my hair, skin, and nails were revived.

The Monat Global Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive contains a blend of 11 oils, 1 of which is the main ingredient: Abyssinian oil.  Abyssinian oil is a rare oil that is derived from the crambe abyssinica plant that’s native to central Africa.

Monat Global Rejuviniqe Oil Intensive

Does it have a scent?

The Monat Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive does smell of citrus due to the lemon peel, lime, and bergamot.  It’s very light, and doesn’t last at all. If you’re sensitive to fragrances, I don’t think the scent is strong enough to bother you much.

How I used the Monat Global Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive

Hair

I added the Monat Global Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive to my scalp every other day.  Also, the oil was applied to my hair while I conditioned my hair.  It was then rinsed out along with the conditioner, which then revealed softer, manageable hair.

Cuticle Oil

As I mentioned previously, this oil has helped tremendously in keeping my cuticles and nails hydrated.  It only takes a small amount, too!

Skin

I didn’t use the Monat Global Rejuvinqe Oil Intensive on my face; however, I did apply it to my hands, feet, elbows and knees.  The results were good.  My skin in those areas were hydrated without feeling oily.

Overall, the Monat Global Rejuviniqe Oil Intensive has been a good addition to my hair and skincare routine.  However, at $99 per 1 oz., I do believe I can achieve the same or similar results with a product that costs less.  But, if you have the money to splurge and want to treat yourself to a luxury, multi-tasking oil then check it out.

The Monat Global Rejuvinqe Oil and other Monat products can be purchased at Monat.

Fragrance Friday: I don’t Pop Molly, I Rock Tom Ford Black Orchid

I BOUGHT THIS | AFFILIATE LINKS  AFFILIATE LINKS

This fragrance Friday, I’m presenting one of my favorite perfumes in my current collection, Tom Ford Black Orchid.  I have wanted this perfume for the longest! Thankfully, my husband gifted me the 3.4 fl oz bottle of Tom Ford Black Orchid this past Christmas.  I’ve been wearing it ever since.

Tom Ford Black Orchid comes in a sleek black bottle with gold detailing; it looks expensive.  It’s simple, and sexy, but still calls attention just like the fragrance that’s inside of it.

Tom Ford Black Orchid features a slew of notes I prefer to have in the fragrances I wear like jasmine, patchouli, sandalwood, and vanilla.  These, along with the other notes – bergamot, citrus, mandarin, black gardenia, ylang-ylang, lotus wood, orchid, spicy floral accord, orchid (Tom Ford Black Accord), and incense – make for a unique, alluring fragrance.

Tom Ford Black Orchid is one of those fragrances, that after the first whiff, you can’t get enough of it; it’s intoxicating.  A strong, deep fragrance that only takes a little to take you on a journey to experiencing chocolate mixed with berries, and then spice and smoke… to who knows? I swear that each time I wear it my senses are taken on a different journey, which is a good thing, at least for me.

Tom Ford Black Orchid Bottle

Tom Ford Black Orchid, I have worn during the day, but have found that it is most suitable for evening wear.  It’s described as “Luxurious, sensual, and timeless.” And I agree, that is encompasses all of those characteristics, especially sensuality.  Let’s just call it ‘sex in a bottle’.  My husband loves this on me! Seriously, only wear it if you’re looking to get laid.  ..  Date nights, and if you’re single, nights out on the town with your girls.   I always receive compliments whenever I wear it, which speaks to its sillage; it’s great.  Tom Ford Black Orchid lasts all day as well. All day!

I’d recommend Tom Ford Black Orchid for any woman looking for an elegant fall or winter fragrance that’s deep, dark, and mature to the point that it’s almost masculine. Just be mindful of the fact that a little goes a long way, and too much can be overbearing.  However, if you’re looking for a dark fragrance that’s a bit lighter, try Odin NY 09 Posala, which I reviewed previously.

Tom Ford Black Orchid can be purchased at Barneys New York, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus in 1 fl oz – 3.4 fl oz bottles.

Do you own Tom Ford Black Orchid? What are your thoughts on it?
