Event Invite: Pepper Jacques Trunk Show – Body & Beauty Meets Fashion

Fashion line Pepper Jacques debuts on Saturday, September 22, 2012. Pepper Jacques is partnering with Roosevelt Field Mall Body Shop(2^nd Floor) to present Body & Beauty Meets Fashion, where designer, Rachel A. Fenderson will showcase some items from the Pepper Jacques X-GS Collection. Pepper Jacques will release a limited production of the X-GS collection- (includes Full Sequin, Hat, Scarves, Opera/Motorcycle gloves.)

The collection will be the first release by the designer Rachel A. Fenderson, a Parsons The New School for Design alumnus. While the collection encompasses a Bright Light in the Night feel, it gives edge and grace at the same time. The motorcycle glove is a true reflection of that.

Event Re-cap: FABulously Chic: A Summer Soiree

July 24, 2012 was FABulously Chic: A Summer Soiree meet and greet hosted by myself and Janique of Hergoodybag.com. During our event, guests were able to enjoy a candy and popcorn buffet from Huey’s Chueys Candy Boutique, express manicures sponsored by Diosa Nails and Shic Hair, Nail and Beauty Bar, wine and cocktails sponsored by ZICO Coconut Water, hors d’oeuvres by Chef Shani of Chef 71ATe and Franklin Taste Buds. Shopping was provided by Natty Boutique while Janique gave styling tips and advice. I, of course, was doing a marathon of makeovers.

During the 2-hour event, social media giveaways took place, which were sponsored by Fly Credentials and Elleina D. Accessories (Please check them both out!)

All guests went home with great gift bags as well! Items included in the giftbags:

Hi Everyone!!!

I apologize for being MIA the past week. As mentioned previously, I had an event with my friend and fellow blogger Janique of Her Goody Bag. The event, FABulously Chic: A Summer Soiree was a success. We had a good turnout, especially since it was our first. I posted pictures on my facebook page (see here). We have a lot planned. We cannot wait to share our ideas with everyone!

I crossed over from my blackberry and got an iPhone. How did I ever go without this gadget? It is the best thing that has ever happened to me. It has made it easier for me to post FOTD’s and EOTD’s, products etc on Instagram (Makeup by Kim Porter). My instagram posts go to my twitter account (@MakeupKimPorter), so if you don’t have instagram you can follow me on twitter to see everything.

I will be on vacation from August 3-August 14th Hopefully I will get in some posts while on vacation showing some makeup looks, outfits, and products I’m using throughout my trip. This is, of course only if AT&T doesn’t kill me with charges.
