Red lips are great, but berry lips are even better, especially for women who like something a little more subtle, and less bright. While shopping my makeup stash I came across this NYX Jumbo Lip pencil in ‘Narcisse’ I’ve never used. After swatching it (yes, I swatch my own products to see if I like them personally for myself), I fell in-love!!! This is a beautiful shade of berry for the perfect berry lip. See the what I used to create it below.

Are you a fan of Berry Lips? Who Makes your favorite shade?
Great skin begins with nutrition. Proper skin care topically is great, but it doesn’t do much if your diet is poor. Increasing your intake of fish like salmon and nuts like almonds, along with increasing your water intake will help nourish your skin from the inside out. Fish and almonds that are high in omega-fatty acids are excellent for the skin. If you find fitting more fish and nuts into your weekly diet isn’t convenient, I highly recommend fish oil supplements, which are also very high in omega fatty acids. You want to consult with your doctor about the dosage you should take before starting a fish oil regimen.
There are several things you can do to your skin(topically), to keep it soft and moisturized.
Using a bath oil once a week is a great way to help moisturize the skin. A great product for this is my Dous Te Bath & Body Oil. Under warm running water, apply 1-2 teaspoons of oil in your bath and soak for at least 10-15 minutes. When you step out of the bath, instead of rubbing yourself dry with a towel, pat yourself dry. Rubbing the skin with a towel strips away a lot of the skin’s natural oils, which will lead to dry skin. Patting dry will help avoid this and if you’re comfortable, air drying is really your best bet!
If you can’t fit bath soaking in your schedule, after showering, apply the same principles; pat dry with your towel but you do not want to be completely dry. The best way your moisturizer is going to work for you is if you leave your skin a little damp. When the skin is damp, the pores are still open which makes it much easier for your skin to absorb whatever product you’re going to use to moisturize.
On damp skin you want to apply a butter or lotion (something heavy), especially during the winter months. I suggest my top seller, the Unyevu Butter or the Double Agent Butter. What makes the Unyevu Butterso great for keeping the skin moisturized is the use of what I like to call, “The Trifecta of Butters” (mango, shea and avocado butters). All three contain great moisturizing effects, but the soothing of dry skin comes mainly from the neem oil. This ayurvedic oil is great for severely dry skin, eczema and dandruff/flaky scalp. The Double Agent Butter has oils in it like camelina and cranberry seed that are high in omega-fatty acids which helps keep eczema patches at bay.
Our face is the most exposed body part that we have outside of our arms and hands. During the winter, the dry heat indoors and the dry cold air outdoors are the main culprits to dry skin. There are a few things that can be done to help soothe your skin: Oil washing/Oil cleansing method, exfoliating and using a daily moisturizer.
I have combination skin. I have an oily T-zone with dry cheeks and my skin is extremely dry around my mouth. I’ve been oil cleansing my face for 2 years now. Over time, this method helps normalize the skin where you end up with skin that is not too dry and not too oily. I currently use a half and half mix of sweet almond and grapeseed oils with a few drops of lavender essential oil. 2fl oz will usually last me about 6 months so a little goes a long way when oil cleansing. For a great video on how to oil cleanse from start to finish, I recommend Fran of HeyFranHey’s tutorial.
After cleansing, I pat my face dry and use my Mango Moisture Butterfor Face only on the dry areas of my skin (around my mouth and cheeks). I do not apply it to my nose or forehead. The Mango Moisture Butter for Face is a simple 4 ingredient butter that I made that does not clog your pores and absorbs quickly into the skin and it lasts. Most moisturizers do a poor job of keeping your skin soft and moisturized for the entire day and need to be reapplied several times. This is not the case for the Mango Moisture Butter and it also doubles as a makeup primer! Like all things Belle Butters a little goes a long way, especially for the Mango Moisture Butter.
Lastly, exfoliating the skin with a scrub will keep your skin soft. Removing the dead skin one to two times a week is more than enough. It is possible to exfoliate the skin too much, which can cause irritation, so err on the side of caution. I like to use my Avo-Cocoa Facial Polish. Instead of salt or sugar, walnut shell powder is used to help exfoliate. I’ve found it to be more gentle yet effective. Other ingredients in the polish like avocado butter and honey also help to keep the skin soft.

Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca) is well-known for its antiseptic and antifungal properties. It also has plenty of uses for hair (Tea Tree Oil for Hair Growth) and skincare. Currently, I add the essential oil to my conditioner, shampoo, scalp oils, blemishes on my skin. I also make a homemade house cleaner from it. When I was contacted by PARNEVU to try some of their products, I stuck with something I was familiar with, and chose two of the thirteen items from the PARNEVU T-Tree Oilline as well as a product from their extra dry line.
What I picked from the PARNEVU & the PARNEVU T-Tree Oil line
1. PARNEVU T-Tree Break Control ($6.00)
2. PARNEVU T-Tree Scalp Oil ($6.00)
3. PARNEVU Hair Mayonnaise ($7.00)
First, I’d like to point out that the PARNEVU T-Tree Oil line smells wonderful. If you are familiar with tea tree oil you’d know that it has a distinct scent that you either deal with or hate. In my case, I just end up mixing it with other essential oils to cut the smell. The PARNEVU T-Tree Oil line won points in this aspect.
PARNEVU T-Tree Break Control
Description:
“The T-Tree Break Control coats the hair with its unique formula, preventing hair breakage and split ends. by coating the hair moisture is locked in, adding elasticity which leaves the hair soft, manageable and shiny.”
My Thoughts:
The PARNEVU T-Tree Oil Break Control, upon application left my hair feeling soft. I fell in-love with it! The texture is creamy, and it’s not oily/greasy, which is perfect for my fine hair. It doesn’t weigh my hair down; therefore, I am able to apply it more than twice per week or even daily. I did notice that if it isn’t massaged into the area it’s applied to, you are left with a whitish residue of sorts. Imgagine going to work via public transportation, to get there and have your coworker tell you that you have white stuff in your hair! Oh well, lesson learned – the hard way. I did like that it softened my hair. I did experience reversion in the areas where I applied it to my new growth. It’s okay since it doesn’t completely ruin the look of my hair style. I also like that the PARNEVU T-Tree Oil Break Control left my hair shiny and healthy looking. As far as reducing split ends and preventing breakage, I didn’t really notice much in that area.
PARNEVU T-Tree Scalp Oil
Description:
PARNEVU T-Tree Scalp Oil is a uniquely formulated to be applied daily directly to scalp to stimulate, heal, and repair hair and scalp, reducing itching, flaking and dryness while promoting healthy growth. For a complete treatment, also try PARNEVU T-Tree Herbal Grow and Leave-In Conditioner. This unique scalp oil helps:
•Heal scalp
•Stop itching
•Stimulate growth
My Thoughts:
When one thinks about the PARNEVU T-Tree Oil line, you would think that the main ingredient would be TEA TREE OIL. It is not. Tea tree oil (melalEuca) is #14 of 16 ingredients. Amongst a ton of other oils, I was happy to see that the PARNEVU T-Tree Oil does have Olive oil, Castor Oil, wheat germ oil, which I currently use in my at-home scalp treatments. Since Tea Tree oil wasn’t high on the ingredients list, I added my own plus some peppermint oil to it. I only added my own essential oils after I tried it and noticed it wasn’t really helping with the itches, until after I added more Tea Tree oil to it.
I have a sew-in weave. The nozzle applicator makes it especially easy to apply the product. The bottle itself is user-friendly, too. The bottle is small enough to hold in your hand and maneuver around.
The oil, if applied daily will weigh down your hair, especially if it is fine, and if you don’t wash your hair weekly.
Would I recommend?
The PARNEVU T-Tree Oil product line is priced low enough for you to try them on your own. If you can find them onsale, that’s even better. I would recommend the T-Tree Break Control just because it helped with shine, moisture, and keeping my hair soft. I wouldn’t recommend the oil so much since you can probably make a whole batch of it yourself for less money. That is, of course, you don’t have the time to make your own concoctions, buy it. Like I’ve said numerous times, just because something may not have worked for me or has worked for me, does not mean it will prove the same results for you.
Have you tried PARNEVU Products? What do you think?
Do you use Tea Tree Oil?
