Shiseido IBUKI Multi Solution Gel {Giveaway}

PR SAMPLE | AFFILIATE LINKS

My skin has been so on-point lately, and I have to thank the Shiseido IBUKI Multi Solution Gel. You probably remember me mentioning it from a recent post: Travel-Friendly Skincare for Warm and Humid Climates. If not, I’m going to get into a bit more detail here, and one lucky reader will be able to win one! So keep reading.

The Shiseido IBUKI Multi Solution Gel is an unscented, dense, bouncy gel-formula that helps diminish breakouts, roughness, dryness and the look of visible pores.

  • Exclusive PhytoTarget Complex enhances skin’s natural moisture factors*, to help build skin’s resistance to external stressors.
  • Salicylic Acid helps reduce acne and allows skin to heal.
  • Leaves skin looking supple and feeling smooth.

Travel-Friendly Skincare for Warm and Humid Climates

The cold weather here in NYC can lead to dryer skin. Just by adding a bit of the Shiseido IBUKI Multi Solution Gel to my routine has helped increase the moisture and suppleness of my skin. My skin, I’ve noticed, is baby soft. At times I catch myself, just touching my face – I know that’s bad, but I can’t help it – because my skin is just that soft and smooth! Although I don’t suffer from acne much, I do have an occasional hormonal breakout during ‘that time of the month’, I’ve found that adding the IBUKI Multi Solution Gel to my morning and evening routines have helped lessen the breakouts.

Shiseido IBUKI Multi Solution Gel

In my previous post, I mentioned not using the Shiseido IBUKI Multi Solution Gel under my makeup. Since then, I’ve been able to experiment with it a bit more. I use it under my tinted moisturizer or foundation during the day, and in the evenings I apply the IBUKI Multi Solution Gel. The gel doesn’t pill or doesn’t interfere with makeup application; however, I didn’t notice any difference in the amount of oil reduced due to me applying the IBUKI Multi Solution Gel prior to applying my tinted moisturizer/foundation.

Shiseido IBUKI Mutli Solution Gel Facts

My experience with the Shiseido IBUKI Multi Solution Gel was positive. If you have acne prone skin that’s dry, and needs help in achieving smoothness, then this may be the product for you. I know that I can’t wait to get my hands on other products from the Shiseido IBUKI line.

You can pick up a 30ml package of the Shiseido IBUKI Multi Solution Gel for $38.

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water Review

PR SAMPLE | AFFILIATE LINKS

I’m sure you’ve heard about micellar water, and if not, I’m here to share with you my experience with the OG of micellar waters, Bioderma Sensibio.

First things first, you’re probably wondering what is micellar water, right? Micellar water gets its name from the science behind the product. It’s made of “micelles,” which are tiny oil molecules suspended in water. Those small molecules grab on to all of the unwanted particles clinging to your face and dissolve them.

The Bioderma Sensibio H2O is the first and only dermatological micellar water perfectly compatible with the skin: its fatty acid esters, the constituent elements of micelles, are similar to the phospholipids of the skin cell membranes and naturally help rebuild the skin’s hydrolipidic film.

How does the Bioderma Sensiobio H2O perform?

At the end of a long day, I use the Bioderma Sensiobio H20 micellar water to remove any makeup (tinted moisturizer, foundation, eyeshadow, etc) I’ve worn during the day. A few drops applied to a cotton pad, removes nearly all traces of makeup, even my waterproof mascaras. However, I’ve found that a second cotton pad moistened with the Bioderma Sensibio gets the off the remaining makeup residue. The nights I’m too lazy to follow-up with a regular cleansing, I find that my skin is fine with just using the Bioderma, but I do not recommend doing that nightly.

BIODERMA Sensibio H2O

I like that although the Bioderma Sensibio micellar water is made for sensitive skin, it’s effective in removing my makeup. Plus, we all know how I am a huge fan of fragrance-free skincare products, which is the Bioderma Sensibio H2O. The micellar water, unlike other makeup removers I’ve used did not leave my skin feeling a bit sticky or tight. Alternatively, my skin was left feeling soft and clean.

Make sure that when you’re removing makeup from around your eye area the cotton pad isn’t heavily saturated with the solution, otherwise it will get into your eyes, and they will be on fire. I’m speaking from experience.

Overall, I’m happy with using the Bioderma Sensibio H2O micellar water. It functions well as a makeup remover., and I’m definitely repurchasing once this bottle begins to run low. If you have sensitive skin, and you’re in the market for a gentle, yet effective makeup remove that’s also color and fragrance-free, I suggest looking into picking up a bottle of Bioderma Sensibio H2O micellar water.

Fun Fact: One bottle of Sensibio H2O sold around the world every 5 seconds!

The Bioderma Sensibio is available in 100 ml, 250 ml and 500 ml bottles, as well as a 500 ml reversed pump dispenser. These products can be found at The Makeup Show.

Travel-Friendly Skincare for Warm and Humid Climates

I BOUGHT THIS | AFFILIATE LINKSPR SAMPLE | AFFILIATE LINKS

Not too long ago I returned from a seven-day trip to the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi and Dubai), which was a hot and relatively drier climate than where we are now headed – Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. A change in climates and humidity means switching up my skincare needs since Puerto Vallarta during this time of year is not only hot, but also humid. Of course, for this trip I packed my favorite travel-friendly skincare that’s most suitable for the weather I’m going to experience.

One of the first rules of traveling is being able to pack efficiently; therefore, if I do not have travel-sized items of my favorite products, I siphon them off into travel-sized containers. I find the to-go condiment containers to be perfect for cleansers, into which I emptied some of my Paula’s Choice RESIST Foaming Cleanser .

Travel-Friendly Paula's Choice RESIST

Cleanse

Cleansing your skin is essential regardless of where you are; however, since heat and humidity can lead to more sweat, oil, and dirt, cleansing twice a day with my travel-friendly FOREO Luna is a necessity. The FOREO Luna (review) is gentle enough to use twice per day, and effective in removing the dirt and oil from my skin, thus preventing breakouts/blemishes while I’m away.

I love, love, love the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater (review). I pack the travel-friendly 4 oz. bottle to refresh and rehydrate my skin post cleansing, and even give my skin a little spray post-moisturizer.

Moisturize

For daytime use when I travel, I’ve packed the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer (Martinique) with SPF 30 (review), and for evening use I bring along Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentre (review). To the two, I add a few drops of the Paula’s Choice C15 Super Booster. To keep my lips moisturized, I use my go-to lip balm, Carmex! I never leave home without it. Plus, its size makes it travel-friendly.

I’ve also packed something new to my skincare regimen, the Shiseido IBUKI Multi-Solution Gel that helps diminish breakouts, roughness, dryness and the look of visible pores. The salicylic acid formula helps aid in oil reduction, getting down into the pores drying up the oil caused by the humidity while also treating the actual bacteria that cause pimples. Even though I can use the gel either under or over makeup, I love using the IBUKI Multi-Solution Gel mostly at night over my moisturizer.
