Mother’s Day is quickly approaching. For those of you who need a little reminder, it falls on Sunday, May 13, 2012. You have less than three weeks to get your gifts together.
Being a new mom has given me a new perspective on Mother’s Day gifting. When I think of a Mother’s Day gift, I think of something the Mom herself would use. Personally, I would not want a vase, crockpot, or any other houseware that would mean I’m doing yet another thing for my family. While all of those things would be nice, I would want something that is specifically for ME. The best gifts are when you give something that you know the recipient really covets but wouldn’t justify spending the money to buy for herself.

Twitter Name Plate
For the social media mommy, I came across this pretty cool Twitter Name Plate from BaubleBar (receive $10 Off your 1st purchase). This would be good for bloggers like myself (hint to the hubby) for self-promotion.
Bangle Bracelets
Accessories can spruce up any outfit. They can make jeans look dressy. Turn an outfit from daytime to evening. Bangles are also great for stacking.

I love, love, love my Clarisonic MIA. Everyone deserves clear skin, even a mom. Clarisonic makes cleansing your skin a no-brainer. They also come in pretty colors and designs.
Bags
Since becoming a new mom, a large hobo or satchel have been my best friend. I prefer to use those over diaper bags; the latter is not too fashionable. For the summer, bright colors are in, as well as neutrals. Below are some nice options in different price ranges.
Shoes
Flats and wedges are perfect for the stylish mom, especially if she is always on the run. Tribal prints, brights, and neutrals are in!
Beauty: Nails, Makeup, Hair
A little mascara, blush, and eyeshadow can go a long way. Also, pretty, painted finger nails can brighten any day. Here are some suggestions.
LUSH Cosmetics
Nothing is more relaxing than bathing or showering in wonderful smelling soap. Best of all, it’s natural! I recommend anything from lush. My personal favorites are Alkmar and Sultana of Soap.
