This Hair Care Tuesday, completes my review of the Simplicity Hair Oil products I purchased. Last week, I reviewed the Simplicity Moisture Shampoo, and this week, it’s only right to talk about the New Simplicity Moisture Conditioner.
Simplicity Hair Oil Describes their New Simplicity Moisture Conditioner as
A blend of aloe vera, green tea leaf extract and grape seed oil deliver softer, shiner, hydrated hair. Easier to manage retain length due to reduced breakage and moisture levels remaining in the hair well beyond the conditioning phase.
The New Simplicity Moisture Conditioner is my favorite out of the line. It is everything! It makes my hair feel great! After using the conditioner sans heat, my hair is left soft, moisturized and manageable (no knots or tangles). The conditioner rinses clean, but there’s still enough slip left post rinse. I also noticed that the conditioner works best as suggested on the packaging.
Simplicity Hair Oil suggests sealing in the conditioner with their Simplicity Hair Oil to help lock in the moisture. It works well when using heat, too. I don’t have a heat cap, but I do have a hooded dryer that I sit under. It definitely helps with making the New Simplicity Moisture Conditioner work better.
The texture of the Simplicity Hair Oil New Simplicity Moisture Conditioner is similar to other creamy conditioners I use, except it isn’t heavy. To me, it’s more like a lotion. Non-greasy and lightweight. My hair, which is on the thinner side, isn’t weighed down afterwards.
Now, let’s get to the scent. The Simplicity Hair Oil New Simplicity Moisture Conditioner has a light floral, not quite herbal scent. It’s nice. If scents bother you, you’d be happy to hear that it doesn’t linger on the hair long post wash.
I tend to be heavy handed when using hair conditioners, especially if I’m co-washing (not using shampoo, but conditioner instead to cleanse). Do you know how easy it is for me to run through conditioner? I tend to always have more shampoo left over than conditioner, and with this conditioner running $24.75/ 8.5 oz, which can be costly. But, I love it.
Overall, I’m happy with the results I’ve experienced using the Simplicity Hair Oil New Simplicity Moisture Conditioner along with the other Simplicity Hair Oil Products I’ve been using. I would recommend it to anyone looking to increase moisture in their hair with a product that uses a blend of natural ingredients.

This sounds really nice! You mentioned co-washing where you wash your hair with conditioner.. how does that work? I'm interested!

I'm glad you asked about co-washing. Maybe I should dedicate a post to talk about it. Cowashing is great if your hair tends to be on the dryer side or just absorbs moisture more rapidly than other hair types. Most shampoos strip your hair, and if you wash your hair with shampoo daily, it can lead to dryness, brittle hair, and hair damage. Co-washing prevents that because it adds moisture and cleanses. Most conditioners have cleansing agents, so it's like having two products in one. And you're left with awesome, moisturized and conditioned hair with less steps :0
So you just don't use shampoo basically? I feel like I'd have the world's greasiest hair if I did that ahha!

Right. Once you get to the point where you feel your hair needs a good cleansing, use a clarifying shampoo, Depending on the ingredients in the conditioner, it may or may not make your hair greasy.
i've never thought of "sealing in conditioner with hair oil" but it makes sense. May have to give that a try with the conditioners I own 🙂

OK yeah I need this ASAP. My hair needs a good loving, and if this will do it. I am sold. I chemically straighten my hair, so it always ahs breakage no matter how much I try and give it TLC. So I think I need need NEED this!! I am also heavy handed with conditioner. lol…
I've seen people use the oil on chemically straightened hair. Their hair looked so silky. You should try it.
Sealing in the conditioner is such a unique idea.
Great review, I had not heard of Simplicity before now! Sounds really nice.
Simplicity is a fairly new independent brand. Everything so far has been good to my hair.
I like the idea of sealing in the conditioner with oil. Never thought of trying that before!

You should try it. I'd love to hear your results.
Great review – I haven't heard of this brand til now and I want to try it, I love the way you described its positive effects on your hair!!!
Thank you.
I've heard great things about their oil but didn't even know they ad shampoo & conditioner. I'm always down for a moisturizing conditioner

Yes! I bought the set when they put it on sale. I only bought it because Tamara said it grew back her edges lol don't laugh. But, it's good.
I'm also super heavy handed with conditioner. With my thick mane, I need it!!

I can imagine. you have a lot of hair, Miranda.
My scalp is so greasy! My ends need all the moisture they can get … it's rough out there lol

Tell me about it. My scalp is pretty normal, but my hair… it needs all the moisture.
I am very heavy-handed with my condish as well. I have dry, damaged hair right up to my lower back and it needs all the conditioning it can get.

This conditioner just may work for you.
I use very little conditioner. I wash my hair every 3-4 days to keep it healthy and apply a dime size of conditioner, otherwise it gets very oily fast.
You are so much better than I am.
Heavy handed with conditioner is an understatement. This sounds good but I don't know if I care for conditioner calling me a ho. 😉

Can you use like a half bottle of conditioner in one wash?
There are so many brands that I can't keep them straight. This sounds like a great one.

This is a good indie brand. Out of the three products I've tried, all of them are good.
This sounds like a really great conditioner!
It really is, Phyrra.
I think most women have the same dilemma, conditioners are consumed faster than shampoos. I think I'll like this
My recent post Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette (Review, Swatch)
I think the hair industry should take that into consideration. Make the shampoo's smaller and the conditioners larger. It's annoying lol
I think conditioners that seal in the moisture with an oil are great… it kind of helps in one step of having to do it on my own, though I still will. Definitely interested in this product.
My recent post Fresh and Clean – My method for Clean Laundry
I need to try this. Usually with conditioners I use them, then after my shower I towel dry my hair a bit and have to add another spray oil into my hair for moisture and I'd really like to eliminate a step in there!
This sounds like something my super fried platinum hair needs!
