My Thoughts:

I love full lashes, which is why I am a big fan of false lashes.  Now that I have an infant, I have hardly anytime to apply them, which is why I keep a few of my favorite mascaras with me in my purse and in my desk drawer at work.  You can’t ever have enough mascara, and as a beauty addict I love trying new things, especially a product that makes claims to give you the false lash look without applying a lash; a time saver.  I jumped on the opportunity to try out the L’Oréal Paris Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Mascara.  I like the product, but, I am not in-love.  I do love the packaging though.  It looks like an expensive YSL product.

Pro’s

Lengthens

The wand makes application easier

Doesn’t flake

Great for sensitive eyes

You see results with 1 OR 2 coats. I normally use 3 with some others.

Cons

Clumps if you don’t work fast enough.  Thank God I mastered it quickly.

It has a chemical smell

I started using my Dior Show Lash Primer Maximizer Serum with it to help with the clumping issue too, and  to add, it made my lashes look like WHOA!!!

Do I recommend?

I would recommend this product because it does do what it says it would.

Below are some before and after pictures of me wearing the L’Oréal Paris Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Mascara!

The Perfect Berry for Every Skin tone: NARS Blush – Sin (Swatches)

I recently ordered my very first NARS product, NARS blush in Sin.  Usually, makeup fanatics opt to buy NARS’ Orgasm blush, however, I wanted to try something different, especially since I swatched orgasm and really didn’t see what the hoopla was about.  This was my first NARS purchase because their products are a little on the expensive side, and I do not get a discount (just keeping it real).  I can’t fathom spending $26 on ONE product unless it’s something that I really love…. wait, I did spend that much on the YSL Touche Eclat, but that I can say was worth it.

The NARS Sin blush is the perfect plum with gold shimmer blusher.   It’s not overbearingly shimmery, and can most definitely be worn by most, if not, all skintones.  It’s especially flattering on women of color.  It’s also the perfect blush for this season.  Since it’s such a flattering shade, it will look well with most makeup looks, especially natural – giving you a nice, natural glow.

It is best applied with a light hand and using a duo-fibre brush.  Make sure you blend well!

Haul: Sleek Makeup – Contour Kit, Blushers & Pout Polishes (Swatches Included)

I finally purchased some Sleek Makeup products.  My husband had some family come up from London so I sent my order to their house to take advantage of the $4.99 shipping, which is MUCH better than $13.99! I wish they would do something about that.  That’s the only thing that kept me from ordering previously.

I bought the following items:

Blushers: Scandalous, Sunrise, & Sahara ($6.50 each)

Face Contour Kit: Dark ($10)

Pout Polish: Pink Cadillac ($6.50)

First Thoughts:

WOW! These things are TINY!  Especially the Contour Palette.  I’ve seen pictures before, but never seen it in someone’s hand.  When I thought about the palette I was thinking it would be similar to Make Up For Ever’s Contour Palette.  I guess that’s why it’s $10.  It’s perfect to carry around with you when traveling since it’s small and lightweight.

The packaging is very simple.  The only thing that came in an actual box was the Contour Palette.  Kudos for being green.

I may purchase something from them again depending on if I can get someone to do what I did to get these products OR if Sleek has a special.

I will do a review when I get a chance.

Review: Laura Geller Dream Team Baked Blush & Lip Duo w/ Brush (Picture Heavy)

I received the Laura Geller Dream Team: Blush-N-Brighten Baked Cheek Color & Dream Creams Lip Palette Duo in Apricot Berry from the QVC Beauty Breakfast I went to a few weeks ago.  This duo includes “gilded beige, coral, and berry shades.”  Shades I personally believe will fit every skin tone.

ABOUT:

Take the guesswork out of makeup with this color-coordinated kit. First, liven up your cheeks with Blush-N-Brighten, a baked, color-correcting blush that flatters any skin tone. Next, use the lip brush to sweep on one of four complementary shades from the portable lip palette for a perfectly pulled-together look.  This baked blush is also free of mineral oil and parabens.  It is also loaded with the age-fighting, anti-oxidant protection of Centella Asiatica and White Tea Extracts (SOURCE).

INCLUDES:

  • 0.32 oz Blush-N-Brighten
  • 0.27 fl oz Dream Creams lip palette
  • Lip brush
  • Cosmetics made in Italy; Brush made in China

Retail Value: $50

QVC Price: $43 (CLICK to Purchase)

Featured Price:$35.54 (+ $3.97 S&H)

Blush-N-Brighten Baked Blush

MY THOUGHTS:

At first glance it looks similar to MAC Mineralize Blush or skinfinsh.  The texture of it is very smooth, silky and light.  The colors in this baked blush blend together well, and make the perfect combination of color to add a nice, natural, brightening glow to my cheeks.

The compact it comes in is convenient since it is small & light weight, and is able to fit in your purse/makeup bag.  It also has a small mirror so you can ditch the extra mirror you may have in your bag.

I would definitely purchase this product for myself, and recommend to others.

Dream Creams Lip Palette

MY THOUGHTS:

I thought I’d be disappointed in this product.  The colors didn’t seem like they’d be too flattering on my complexion, and the product just looked a little thick & heavy at first.  Upon application, the Dream Cream glided on so smoothly.  I liked that it had good coverage that is buildable if you’d prefer a more intense color.

Another advantage of this palette is that the colors can be used together or alone, so it gives you the option of creating different looks and a limitless amount of shades.  I also like that it wasn’t heavy on my lips, and didn’t feel sticky.  The product lasts a good while without re-application, that is unless you eat or drink something.

Note: There is a slight (very light) vanilla scent, that goes away almost instantly, so it isn’t a bother.

I would definitely recommend both the Baked Blush and Dream Cream palette to you because it is good quality makeup with multiple uses at an affordable price. The Dream Team Kit is PERFECT (in my opinion) to achieve the ultimate, youthful summer glow!

Have you tried any Laura Geller products? If so, what?
