FOTD: Grey Skies

This FOTD I’ve coined “Grey Skies” because I clearly can’t think of anything clever ..  sorry people.  Seriously, I named it “grey skies” simply because I used some grey eyeshadows with some blue.  The color combination reminds me of a stormy day.

Tria Skin Perfecting Blue Light Treatment

I am excited to announce that I am apart of Tria Beauty’s Blogger Program.  Through this program I was afforded the opportunity to try one of their amazing skincare products, the Tria  Skin Perfecting Blue Light Treatment.

What is the Tria Beauty Skin Perfecting Blue Light Treatment?

The  Tria Skin Perfecting Blue Light eliminates acne-causing bacteria deep within the skin, leaving your complexion clear, radiant and healthy looking. Unlike prescription medications or products made with bleaching agents like benzoyl peroxide, our Tria Blue Light is gentle enough for daily use without long-term side effects or skin irritation.

You can pay $245 for a single blue light treatment product vs paying per treatment at a dermatologists office

“The Tria Skin Perfecting Blue Light is as effective as professional and prescription treatments yet gentle enough to use daily without irritation, dryness or redness often caused by other acne treatments.”

I chose to test & review the Tria Skin Perfecting Blue Light Treatment even though my skin has cleared up, I sometimes have a few flareups of breakouts here and there.  It would be nice to see how my skin will benefit from this device.  Also, I am not hairy; therefore, choosing to test the Hair Removal Laser would be pointless.  Over the course of the next few months I will report back with the results from using the Tria Skin Perfecting Blue Light Treatment.

Aaaaannnnnd….

I will also host a giveaway so that one of you (blog readers/subscribers) can win a Tria Skin Perfecting Blue Light

What do I like about the Tria Blue Light Treatment?

I have only had the Tria Blue Light Treatment for a few weeks, but there are a few things that immediately caught my attention – in a good way.

I liked how simple the design of the product is.

The Tria Skin Perfecting Blue Light Treatment is easy to use

The treatment time is short; I’m talking about 2 1/2 -5 minutes per day.

You have the option of treating your whole face or concentrate on affected areas.

It’s lightweight

Stands upright on its own

FYI:  I did have a bad breakout.  I used the Tria Skin Perfecting Blue Light, and the results I received within two days were AMAZING.  My skin cleared up perfectly.

Fall Beauty Trend: The blacker the berry the sweeter the lippie – Berry Lipstick for Fall

MAC Go For It

This fall, deep berry lipstick shades can be spotted on almost every lip here in New York City.  I am guilty of sporting a purple lip over the last few weeks myself.   You’re probably thinking, “Purple?  I can’t possibly wear that.”  Trust me, with the right shade, and confidence, you will be sporting a berry lippie this fall like no other.  Oh, and not all berry shades will give you that vampy look so don’t hesitate to try one out.

The most recent craze with the deep berry lip was over MAC  Yung Rapunxel  lipstick named after Azaelia Banks’ alter ego.  That shade flew off of the shelves, unfortunately, I was unable to snatch one up.

FOTD: Tropics at midnight

I am going to start posting face of the day’s (FOTD) again.  I will start off with some FOTD I have posted over the last few weeks via my instagram account (MakeupbyKimPorter).

For the most part, I start off with Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics OCC Skin Primer & OCC Moisture Tint (Y5) for many of my FOTD that I do weekdays.  I love using the OCC Moisture Tint because even though it is a tinted moisturizers, you still get the coverage of a medium- full coverage foundation.  It doesn’t feel heavy, and it lasts pretty much throughout the day.  I just wish it were waterproof.
