Hey guys!

Summer is right around the corner, and the weather has already began to heat up!  I was just in a mini shirt dress  and sandals the other day.  We know, bare legs must be hair and cellulite-free, especially when wearing mini skirts or short shorts.  Verseo makes permanent hair removal, and cellulite reduction easier with the Verseo eGlide ($89.95), and RollerCell2 Cellulite Massage System ($59.95). Guess what? I’m giving away both the Verseo eGlide & Cellulite Massager to ONE lucky reader!!!

*******WIN IT!!!*******

Verseo eGlide Hair Removal Roller

Makeup by Kim Porter Blog readers have the chance to win one Verseo eGlide Electrolysis Hair Removal Roller.  The Verseo eGlide was first introduced to the market a couple of years ago after success with their other hair removal product – Verseo ePen.  The Verseo eGlide makes laser hair removal at home convenient, cheaper, and simple.  Permanent hair removal using the Verseo eGlide is significantly  cheaper than laser hair removal and less painful than waxing.  Who doesn’t love less painful hair removal?

You’re probably wondering how the Verseo eGlide works, right?  A  conductive gel (included, special offer includes additional one) in conjunction with the Verseo eGlide and roll over the area you would like to treat.  With continued use, the hair follicle is damaged preventing the growth of ongoing hair – home electrolysis hair removal has never been easier!

Verseo RollerCell2 Cellulite Massager

Scared to wear your mini skirts or short shorts this summer?  Don’t worry!  With the Verseo RollerCell2 Cellulite Massager, you can massage away your cellulite so you can wear the shortest of shorts ever without worrying about cellulite ruining your look.

Verseo’s RollerCell2 is a best-selling Endermologie system that you can use at home.  It’s a portable version of the salon Endermologie tool, which makes it convenient for travel and at-home use.  Cellulite massager on vacation? WHY NOT?!?  The system comes with Cellulite-Reducing Gel that you smooth over your skin so that you can easily glide the RollerCell2 over the skin. The rollers, suctions and heating mechanisms then work on the skin to distribute the underlying fat cells into a smoother surface. The Verseo RollerCell2 can be purchased for under $60, which is usually less than even ONE Endermologie salon treatment.

The RollerCell2 has been featured on TheDoctors TV show as a true alternative for cellulite reduction.  With work schedules, dating (or married life), even being a mom, most of our free time is left to nighttime when salons are not open.  The treatments can be done at home whenever it is convenient and appropriate for each individual.

Tutorial Tuesday: How to Remove Gel Polish using CVS Gel Polish Remover Wraps

Disclosure:  CVS Gel Polish Remover Wraps were provided to me for free as a gift at an event.  All opinions expressed are 100% honest and are my own.

Check out How to Remove Gel Polish With CVS Gel Polish Remover by Kim Porter on Snapguide.

I attended the Getting Gorgeous with CVS Beauty event earlier this month where I spun the wheel and won the CVS Gel Polish Remover Wraps.  For the last few weeks I’ve been giving myself at-home gel manicures, so winning this was exciting.

The CVS Gel Polish Remover Wraps comes with the following:

– 30 foil wraps (removed 3 complete gel manicure sets)

-Manicure Stick

My Thoughts

Normally I’d soak a cotton pad or ball in acetone, and cut small squares of aluminum foil to wrap my nails, then wait 15 minutes to remove the bubbled gel polish with an orange/manicure stick.  The CVS Gel Polish Remover Wraps made it easier since it cut out the steps of me having to cut foil, and hold my cotton pad in place.   It would have been nice if it included the nail file/emery board, and acetone as well.  I guess for $7.99 that’s what you get.  Maybe in the future they will include those items?

During the event, the CVS beauty representative stated that CVS Regular Nail Polish remover works well in removing gel polish.  Coincidentally, I had the jar in my desk drawer and never thought to use it for that purpose until after she mentioned it.  Thank you!  I tried it the other day, and it worked probably better than wrapping my nails in foil.  The polish bubbled up quicker, thus coming off easier and faster.   No more sitting there waiting 10-15 minutes for your gel polish to come off!

Would I recommend the CVS Gel Nail Polish Remover Wraps?

Since I had a better experience with the CVS Regular Nail Polish remover, I would recommend that first.  The CVS Gel Polish Remover Wraps does free up time, in that you don’t have to sit and cut foil.  You can also move around and do things with the CVS Gel Polish Remover Wraps on your fingers.  With using the CVS Regular Nail Polish remover, you would have to be stationary, sitting with your finger in the jar, soaking each finger one at a time.

Fragrance Friday: Le Labo Santal 33

Unisex Le Labo Santal 33 Eau de Parfum

AFFILIATE LINKSI BOUGHT THIS | AFFILIATE LINKS

My husband frequently visits Barney’s.  He’s like obsessed with this place.  He met up with me in the city after visiting Barney’s fragrance counter, and practically shoved his wrists in my face.  Before he’d done this, I’d already smelled something that I’d immediately fell in-love with.  After shoving his wrists in my face, he asked “Do you like this? What about this one?”  One was a vertiver scent, and the other was Santal33.  I responded “OMG! What is that? It smells amazing!! ! It makes me want to jump your bones!”  Have you smelled Le Labo Santal 33?  Seriously, this is a beautiful scent.  It’s like sex in a bottle.  It reminds me of the summer and beach.

Le Labo Santal 33 is a unisex scent, which I’m happy about.  That means I can wear it, too! LOL My husband hates when I use his colognes, but I can’t help that I’m a sucker for woodsy, musky scents.  That’s exactly what Le Labo Santal 33 is, but, I also feel like I get hints of coconut, too, which is why I stated it reminds me of the summer and the beach.  However, there are no notes of coconut mentioned in the description of Le Labo Santal 33.  I also like that it isn’t too sweet, and it lasts all day long.

Notes for Le Labo Santal 33:
Australian sandalwood, papyrus, cedarwood, cardamom, iris, violet, musk, ambrox and leather accord.

This would make the perfect Mother’s Day or Father’s Day Gift, or you can just treat yourself.

Le Labo Santal 33 is an Eau de Parfum which forms part of the permanent collection, available from Le Labo, Barneys. It is retailing $220 for 100 ml.

Have you tried Le Labo Santal 33?  What are your thoughts on it?

MAC Cosmetics Riri Woo Swatches and thoughts {Giveaway CLOSED}

MAC riri woo

I haven’t purchased anything from MAC in a while since I’ve placed myself on a no-buy; however, since Riri Woo was being released, and I love myself a red lipstick, I figured I’d break my no-buy and purchase it.  Like many MAC Cosmetics fans, I had my alarms and reminders set to sign-on to the MAC website, to purchase the most-wanted Riri Woo lipstick.  My wait wasn’t long, and I ended up getting more than one, which I will offer one in a giveaway.

MAC riri woo and ruby woo

My thoughts

I must admit when I first saw people swatching photos of the Riri Woo lipstick, I thought that I’d been had;  it seemed like a complete dupe for Ruby Woo, which is my favorite red lipstick.  Not until I had Riri Woo in my hands, I was able to make myself feel better about the purchase because there were some differences in the two lipsticks.  Yesterday, on instagram, I posted swatches of Riri Woo and Ruby Woo side by side.

Riri Woo is a retro matte, unlike Ruby Woo, which is a matte lipstick.  Riri Woo is not as drying on the lips, and it lasts longer.  To me, the pigment is better, and it goes on better than its sister, Ruby Woo.  Riri Woo, is a little richer, and deeper, and it is more blue-based, which makes it a perfect red for brown girls like myself.  Check my instagram to see a photo of me wearing Riri Woo.  Overall, I’m happy with the purchase.

***Giveaway***

As I mentioned previously, I purchased more than one.  One lucky reader/subscriber will be able to win a tube of Riri Woo lipstick!
