Review: LUSH Angel’s Delight Soap

LUSH Angel's Delight Soap

I purchased this in January during LUSH’s holiday sale.  It came with two other items, the Shimmy Shimmy glitter bar and Snow Fairy Shower Gel (love the scent).

Out of the LUSH soap bars I’ve had the opportunity to try, this one is probably one of my least favorites.  I do like the smell.  The scent reminds me of fruit punch.  What I did not like was that it did not last long at all. I felt like after the first use, half of the bar was gone.  .:Womp Womp:. I’m kind of glad I didn’t pay full-price for it, otherwise I would have been upset.  The bar lathered nicely, and my skin felt clean, but not dried out after rinsing.  I can’t really say much about it because it didn’t last long enough.

The soap is only limited to Christmas holiday time.  I do not know why that is when it doesn’t smell like anything related to Christmas time.  Christmas scents, to me, are cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg; spice-type scents.  Angel’s Delight is a sweeter, fruit-punchy type scent.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining because I do love the scent, and it lingers.

Would I recommend?

If I had to go on scent only, I would re-purchase, otherwise my money is staying right in my pocket.

MAKEUP ARTIST, JAMES VINCENT DISHES ON THE BEAUTY TRENDS SEEN AT THE ACADEMY AWARDS..AND TELLS YOU HOW TO ACHIEVE IT AT HOME

Red lips were all the rage at last weeks New York Fashion Week and Hollywood continued the trend as A-List actresses wore crimson and classic red shades onto the Red Carpet at this years Academy Awards. From the bold, red shades worn by Rooney Mara, and Milla Jovovich, to the sexy red worn by Angelina Jolie and Michelle Williams more subtle shade, these red lips made their mark on the evenings makeup. Red lipstick is easy to wear for every woman and is essential for creating this seasons sexy pout. The trick to finding the right shade of red is understanding your skin tone. For a more natural red look keep it in the same color family as your complexion. Cool skin tones will be more subtle with a blue based red like rubies or crimsons, while warmer skin tones will be more minimal in an orange-based red like a vermillion or a titian red. If you want a more striking lip, wear a red with the opposite undertone of your skin and draw all the attention to those lips.

To keep your red looking Red Carpet ready blend a bit of your foundation up over your lipline to soften the impact and sharpness of the red. For fuller lips try using a lip pencil close to your lips natural shade for a softer line and avoid red lip pencils which can appear too hard and heavy. Lastly using a highlighting product like YSLBeaute Touche Eclat or INGLOT Cosmetics Corrective Pen is the perfect way to bring added drama and definition to your red lip. Some of my favorite easy to wear red shades include MAKE UP FOR EVER Lipstick on Moulin Rouge, MAC Cosmetics Matte Lipstick in Ruby Woo and OCC Makeup Lip Tar in Stalker or NSFW.

Dramatic eyes are a staple of Red Carpet makeup and this years Academy Awards were no exception. From Gwyneth Paltrow and Penelope Cruz smoldering smokey eyes with kohl black color on the inner lash to Viola Davis Bold Black liner with a more natural feel Liquid, crème and kohl black liners were everywhere. My favorite of the evening was Emma Stone in her beautiful, bold winged liner. Want to apply the perfect eyeliner everytime. Try using a soft taupe eye shadow and a small angled brush to create a soft, sheer line along lashes in your desired shape. Taupe shadow is close to mistake proof and will give you a guide to draw over with the more intense black. This taupe line will also soften the effect of the black and give a more beautiful line that is not as hard edged while also helping to lengthen your lash line. Try MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Black for a bold, water proof line in any shape. Kevyn Aucoin Black Pencil is the perfect smoldering pencil for defining inside the eye and along the lash line. Senna Cosmetics Watercolor Eyeliner and Smashbox Jet Set Eyeliner are the perfect additions to every makeup kit and can make any woman Hollywood Glamorous in moments.

EOTN Using OCC Loose Colour Pigment ‘Bitmap’

This is a look I did one night for my cousins birthday brunch.  It was pretty simple.  I like that it was not over the top even though I used a bright color.   I used OCC lip tar in Uber, but, it wore off by the time I took pictures.
