Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water Review

PR SAMPLE | AFFILIATE LINKS

I’m sure you’ve heard about micellar water, and if not, I’m here to share with you my experience with the OG of micellar waters, Bioderma Sensibio.

First things first, you’re probably wondering what is micellar water, right? Micellar water gets its name from the science behind the product. It’s made of “micelles,” which are tiny oil molecules suspended in water. Those small molecules grab on to all of the unwanted particles clinging to your face and dissolve them.

The Bioderma Sensibio H2O is the first and only dermatological micellar water perfectly compatible with the skin: its fatty acid esters, the constituent elements of micelles, are similar to the phospholipids of the skin cell membranes and naturally help rebuild the skin’s hydrolipidic film.

How does the Bioderma Sensiobio H2O perform?

At the end of a long day, I use the Bioderma Sensiobio H20 micellar water to remove any makeup (tinted moisturizer, foundation, eyeshadow, etc) I’ve worn during the day. A few drops applied to a cotton pad, removes nearly all traces of makeup, even my waterproof mascaras. However, I’ve found that a second cotton pad moistened with the Bioderma Sensibio gets the off the remaining makeup residue. The nights I’m too lazy to follow-up with a regular cleansing, I find that my skin is fine with just using the Bioderma, but I do not recommend doing that nightly.

BIODERMA Sensibio H2O

I like that although the Bioderma Sensibio micellar water is made for sensitive skin, it’s effective in removing my makeup. Plus, we all know how I am a huge fan of fragrance-free skincare products, which is the Bioderma Sensibio H2O. The micellar water, unlike other makeup removers I’ve used did not leave my skin feeling a bit sticky or tight. Alternatively, my skin was left feeling soft and clean.

Make sure that when you’re removing makeup from around your eye area the cotton pad isn’t heavily saturated with the solution, otherwise it will get into your eyes, and they will be on fire. I’m speaking from experience.

Overall, I’m happy with using the Bioderma Sensibio H2O micellar water. It functions well as a makeup remover., and I’m definitely repurchasing once this bottle begins to run low. If you have sensitive skin, and you’re in the market for a gentle, yet effective makeup remove that’s also color and fragrance-free, I suggest looking into picking up a bottle of Bioderma Sensibio H2O micellar water.

Fun Fact: One bottle of Sensibio H2O sold around the world every 5 seconds!

The Bioderma Sensibio is available in 100 ml, 250 ml and 500 ml bottles, as well as a 500 ml reversed pump dispenser. These products can be found at The Makeup Show.

Paula’s Choice RESIST Empties

It was in July when I first introduced you to the Paula’s Choice skincare products I’ve added to my routine. Since then, I’ve consistently used those products on a daily basis, especially the cleanser and vitamin c serum. Four months later, I’m sad to report that the and  are now down to their last drop.

Paula's Choice RESIST Cleanser

As mentioned in my initial post, the has worked wonders on my skin. Even after continued use my skin improved even more. The Paula’s Choice RESIST Perfectly Balance Foaming Cleanser helped me achieve clearer and softer skin, so much so that mostly everyone I’ve encountered complimented me on how beautiful is my skin without foundation.

The is hands-down my #1 favorite Vitamin C serum-like product to date. The good things about the Paula’s Choice RESIST C15 Super Booster is that it can be used under your skin care or mixed with your favorite moisturizer or serum. I used it in all ways, and experienced good results. The RESIST C15 Super Booster absorbs quickly into the skin, and delivered on fading my brown spots. My complexion after using the C15 Super booster is also much brighter than before I started to use it.

Both the Paula’s Choice RESIST Perfectly Balance Foaming Cleanser and Paula’s Choice RESIST C15 Super Booster are products I would purchase again. In fact, I’ve just placed an order for replacement products. After achieving great results from these products, I can’t wait to try more products from the Paula’s Choice RESIST line.

CARVEN Le Parfum Review

This Fragrance Friday, we’re going to talk about CARVEN Le Parfum that my husband gifted me over the summer. CARVEN was released in 2013 – the first fragrance launched under the guidance of creative director Guillaume Henry, and created by perfumer Francis Kurkdjian who designed the perfume with the following notes:

Top Notes: Mandarin blossom, apricot and delicate white hyacinth
Middle Notes: Authentic bouquet of flowers that includes sweet pea, jasmine and ylang-ylang
Base Notes: Sandalwood, osmanthus and Indonesian patchouli.

CARVEN Le Parfum pairings

Fresh, juicy apricot and orange with hints of floral are the characteristics that make CARVEN Le Parfum the perfect scent for the spring and summer. In fact, I used nearly one quarter of the bottle this past season pairing it with two of my favorite body mists: Essence of Beauty Luscious Peony and Kiss of Honey. I am also bringing it along with me on our next trip to Mexico, which is a warmer climate for which this scent would be perfect.

CARVEN Le Parfum isn’t one of the longest lasting fragrances I’ve worn or own, which means I’d have to carry around the bottle (or rollerball) to refresh the scent throughout the day. It’s one of those fragrances that exude a quiet femininity, perhaps a perfect wear-to-office scent, but definitely not something that calls for attention.

CARVEN Le Parfum Bottle

A purposeful counterpoint between a very minimalist, almost utilitarian bottle, and a high-fashion stopper.

I’m all about simplicity and elegance when it comes to designs and packaging, which is why I love the CARVEN Le Parfum. The simple, frosted glass bottle with a clear, gold banded topper, adorned with a white ribbon that has on it the CARVEN brand in black letters was designed by Thierry de Baschmakoff.

Simple, fresh and delicate, if any of those characteristics are things you look for in your signature scent, CARVEN Le Parfum just may be something to sniff out during your next visit to your local MACY*S, Nordstrom or SAKS.

The 3.33 Fl oz bottle of CARVEN Le Parfum retails for $112.

Proganix Quench Coconut H20 + Electrolytes Review

Ever since I’ve stopped relaxing my hair (I’ve gone natural), I’ve been looking for ways to add more moisture to it. Lord knows my hair can absorb all moisture., especially during the colder months. The hair gods must have heard my cries because in walks the Proganix Quench Coconut H20 + Electrolytes line. The line features four products: Shampoo, Conditioner, Moisture Balm, and Leave-in Moisture.

Proganix says…

Help transform your dry, parched hair into hydrated, silky perfection with this unique supercharged, lightweight blend infused with coconut water, electrolytes and coconut oil.

So how did my hair fair with the Proganix Quench Coconut H20 + Electrolytes?

My hair loves the Proganix Quench Coconut H20 + Electrolytes line. The fresh coconut scent of the products makes my hair washing session’s feel like I’m n the tropics.

Proganix Quench Review Shampoo Conditioner

Normally, I forgo shampoos during my wash days; however, I found that the SLS-free Proganix Quench Shampoo gentle enough to use every washday in conjunction with the Quench Conditioner. All it takes is a pea-sized amount to lather up into my wet hair. The lather the Proganix Quench Shampoo created was rich and creamy; my hair loves it. After rinsing out the shampoo, I’m able to immediately feel the softness of my hair; it didn’t feel stripped or dry. Following the shampoo, I use the Proganix Quench Coconut H20 + Electrolytes Conditioner.

Proganix Quench Review Shampoo

The Proganix Quench Coconut H20 + Electrolytes conditioner is a thick and creamy conditioner. Even though it takes a bit to rinse out, I love that the conditioner leaves a little “slip” to the hair, which us natural girls tend to love. Additionally, using the Proganix Quench Coconut H20 + Electrolytes Conditioner after shampooing, and sometimes pre-poo gave my hair the additional boost of moisture it needed. And talk about soft! My hair post wash and condition without the use of other products was extremely soft and shiny.

The packaging of the Proganix Quench Coconut H20 + Electrolytes Shampoo and Conditioner are my favorite; squeeze tubes always win me over. I hate not being able to get out the very last drop of products, and the squeeze tubes afford me this opportunity.

To ensure that the moisture added through the shampoo and conditioner lasts, Proganix added a pretty awesome Moisture Balm to the Quench lineup. The Proganix Quench Moisture Balm aims to tame fly-a-ways, soften hair, and protect against heat, all of which I need in a hair product these days. The Moisture Balm, for me, works best when applied to damp hair, twisted, air dried, and then blown out. My hair has a healthy shine, and is soft and manageable afterwards.

Proganix Quench Review Moisture Balm

Next in the Proganix Quench Quench Coconut H20 + Electrolytes line is the Leave-in Moisture. Out of everything in the line this was probably my least favorite of all manly because this leave-in moisturizer was too thick for the dispenser; it was very impractical. I had a hard time dispensing the product via the spray pump; therefore, had to open it up, and dispense the product directly into my hand. I’m hoping Proganix fixes the packaging for this product.

Overall, I’m loving the Proganix Quench Coconut H20 + Electrolytes Line of products. In fact, myself along with my husband and daughter currently use the line. If you’re looking for hair products that deliver on moisture for dry hair, and have an awesome scent to match, I suggest trying out the Proganix Quench line. PLus the products, add moisture without the greasy feel and oil.

Proganix Quench products can be found at your local Walgreens or Target for $9.99 – $11.99.
