I was contacted by Heather Perry, and independent Jamberry Nails Consultant, to do a review of Jamberry Nails.  Jamberry Nails are heat-activated adhesive, vinyl nail shields.  Although the idea is similar, they are not to be confused with nail polish strips like Sally Hansen Nail Effects or Nail Frauds.

Jamberry Nails come in a variety of colors and designs for any occasion or holiday; we’re talking about over 200 designs.  There is something for everyone.

My thoughts:

With 200 designs, it was hard to choose one, but, I ended up getting ‘Geometric’.

With a little one it is hard to keep my nails polished or polished at all.  Prior to having my daughter I was a polish fiend (I still am, but I just don’t wear it as much).  Jamberry nails make keeping your fingers and toes stylishly kept, easy!  I love that they come in a variety of designs.  The choices are endless.  For someone like me who doesn’t have the time, or money to go to the salon and get fancy nail designs or do them myself, Jamberry Nails comes to the rescue.  Seriously, how do all of these nail bloggers have time to do those super cute and fab nail designs?  I’m always envious ..

I like that I don’t have to worry about drying time or chipping.  With a little one running around I can’t have wet finger nails for even a second.  I like that there is no chemical smell.

Application is a little tricky for the first time, but, it gets easier as you go along.  I applied Jamberry Nails to both hands on my index and ring fingers.  I used Milani High Speed Fast-Dry One Coat Nail Polish in Yellow Whiz on the remainder nails.   I work at an office, so I have to keep the crazy nails to a minimum.

I received a lot of compliments on my manicure from family, friends, co-workers, and strangers.  People asked if I did them myself with an art pen.  Even though I wanted to lie and say yes .. I told the truth and said it was a nail cover.  I wish I were that talented.

You get your monies worth!

Jamberry Nails come as a sheet of 18 individual strips.  You can cut them in half, and easily get 36 strips from one packet.  They are re-usable, too!  You just re-heat with the blow dryer, peel off, and place them back on the sheet.  You’ll also love that there is no residue or stickiness left behind, and your nail bed is left unharmed.

Would I recommend?

I like Jamberry nails.  They are durable, long-lasting, stylish, and affordable.
