First Impressions: Lancôme Teinte Idole Ultra 24H
Do you know the feeling you get when not one, but two of your favorite foundations are on its last leg? That feeling of desperation, working diligently to make each drop count – that was me just a few days ago. My husband helped to fix my problem by picking up for me the Lancôme Teinte Idole Ultra 24H.
Lancôme Teinte Idole Ultra 24H is the brand’s first ultra-longwear foundation. Lancôme says:
“With its new EternalSoft technology, Teint Idole Ultra 24H defeats all challenges. Complexion stays perfectly flawless and unified. Never cakey.”
The Lancôme Teinte Idole Ultra 24H is a moderate to full-coverage foundation with a matte finish. On me, it seems more of a velvety matte texture; it’s not so matte where my skin doesn’t look like skin.
The Lancôme Teinte Idole Ultra 24H include is not your ordinary foundation. You know how your skin can sometimes feel tight when using a matte foundation? You won’t experience that when using the Teinte Idole thanks to the Eternalsoft Polymer. You also don’t have to worry about your color changing throughout the day due to oxidation or what have you since the Teinte Idole contains specially coated NAI pigments that help maintain consistent pH levels with your skin. Lastly, if you’re an oily girl like me, you will love that it contains perlite and silica, two of the most effective oil-absorbing ingredients.
The Lancôme Teinte Idole Ultra 24H comes in five intensity levels, and four colors (Ivoire for porcelain skin, Buff for light skin, Bisque for medium skin, and Suede for darker brown complexions) in neutral (N), Cool (C), and warm (w) tones. I wasn’t able to first test the foundations in-person before having my husband pick them up for me, but he was able to buy for me the following shades:
- 460 Suede (W)
- 470 Suede (C)
- 500 Suede (W)
After swatching and testing out all three of the foundations, I found that 460 Suede (W) was the perfect match for the summer, but I would need to purchase 450 Suede (N) for the cooler months when my skin starts to lose its tan.
Once the summer hits, the Lancôme Teinte Idole Ultra 24H will become my go-to foundation. It applies easily, it feels light on the skin, and makes my skin look like my skin but better. My skin doesn’t look like an oil-slick at the end of the day when using this foundation. I also love that even though it is a matte formula, it doesn’t give off the cake face look.
The Lancôme Teinte Idole Ultra 24H Makeup is oil-free, fragrance-free, and non-comedogenic, and has SPF 15. It comes in 28 shades, with 10 of them specifically for brown skin, which is a great thing for other brown girls like me. The Teinte Idole retails for $47, and is worth every single penny. Check here for the foundation chart to see which shade is best for you.
Have you tried Lancôme Teinte Idole Ultra 24H foundation?
Unfortunately, I couldn't get the photos to load so I couldn't see your nice new foundation. With my dry skin, I have to find hydrating, non matte foundations, but I know that when you find a foundation that you love you stick with it.

I'm sorry. I'm not sure what happened with the photos. I wouldn't recommend this for dry skin it actually accentuates dryness. Maybe I should have mentioned that in the post.
I actually thought about picking this up to get the new GWP at Nordies, but haven't done so yet.. now you're making me rethink that…

Awesome that you've found a foundation you love! I am currently just so obsessed with my airbrush system!
I used to use Tiente Idole, glad are shades that match your skin. Too many brands have a limited shade range.

I wish that my skin would get dark enough that these foundations would work for me. I work indoors so I don't get much tan at all and don't need to worry about matching around the seasons.

I wore the original Teint Idole for a while and loved it. I should check out the new formula now.

It's great that you found a foundation that you love. That's not always the easiest job!

I love that the newest generation of matte foundations are not the super matte cakey type. I really don't care for the look but on my skin, I find it uncomfortable. I can wear a not-too-matte-matte though. I recently bought the Lancome stick, which is also pretty good.
while I don't use foundation often, I prefer one when I do that will give me luminous / dewy skin since my skin is so darn dry. I think this would not be a good match for me… but the swatches look nice and I love seeing darker tones available for those with darker skin.
This sounds really good – I'm not a huge liquid face product person but I still buy it to hope for one that works with my oily skin.
It sounds really good. I rarely wear foundation as l find most of them very irritating to my skin. I like the fact that this is fragrance free, and doesn't have sunblock which l detest. Best of all, it has silica which is great for not changing the look things throughout the day, just dab the sweat, and it stays put. I would try this for sure.
I also have to go a shade darker in the warmer months. The consistency of the products look nice and creamy! Thanks for sharing!
I haven't worn a liquid foundation for a long while. These sound great. Never thought of this brand for women of color. Good to see there were options for the shade.

I love the way it looks, I think I could find a great match. Do you mix? But, I can't do makeup in the summer- I am still so acne prone, sweating- ugggh, I would break out all over the place. But, winter- I will be trying this.

Awesome post! But I could not see the photos.
I haven't tried this foundation since I rarely wear makeup. But I'll have to keep it in mind the next time I need to stock up on products.
I've only tried one type of foundation and I'm almost out. I would love to try another type, and these colors look like they would totally match my skin tone.

I will try anything once. The only think about foundations that I worry about is finding the right shade!
Suede is definitely your match from what it looks like. Great job for Lancome coming out with more shades for melanin girls!

My mother loves Lancome, I myself don't use foundation or anything like that so I can't relate, but the colors do look amazing!
