Kim Porter’s Favorite Skincare Products in 2012

Having healthy skin has been a huge goal of mine, especially since during pregnancy and post-pregnancy left me with some blemishes, and minor acne.  Thankfully, with good nutrition, lots of water, vitamins, and a good skincare regimen with my favorite skincare products, I was able to achieve healthier looking skin. 2012 has definitely been a good year for my skin thanks to the products below.

Favorite Skincare Products 2012

FYI: This list is in no particular order.

1. Clarisonic MIA

I have the Clarisonic MIA in lavender since purple is my favorite color. I use the normal and deep pore cleansing brushes with it. Since using this cleansing brush my skin has been smoother, clearer, and experience less breakouts.

2. Cerave Hydrating Cleanser

I know in one of my youtube videos showcasing my skincare routine, I stated I like the foaming cleanser better because I’m into foaming things, and it creates less friction. I’ve found, overtime, my skin likes the non-foaming cleanser better.

3. First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads

I love these pads! They’re great for after cleansing, and gentle enough to use daily.  I was so sad when my container started coming to an end I saved one, which is now dried out.  The First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance pad  is definitely a product I will purchase over and over.

4. Belle Butters Neutralizing Butter for Oily Skin

This has been my skins lifesaver.  As a beauty blogger, we try so many different products that sometimes do not agree without skin, and this is one product I can count on to whip my skin right back into shape.  Also, it really does help with oil (see review).

5. Cerave AM & PM

Cerave is on my list yet again with their facial moisturizers.  I love that the AM moisturizer contains SPF, and it isn’t heavy.  It also wears well under makeup.  The PM facial moisturizer is light, but, my skin feels soft and moisturized, especially the next morning.

6. Bliss Triple Oxygen Mask

This is the perfect mask to boost the appearance of your skin.  I love that it is quick and easy to use, which makes it easier for me to use in the mornings even when I’m rushing (see review).

7. Perricone MD Vitamin C Ester 15

OMG! I’ve posted about the Vitamin C Ester 15 on my instagram, and I’ve raved about it to my family and friends… This stuff right here… I honestly have no words to describe how amazingly soft, succulent and all that jazz this stuff leaves my skin.  I apply it at night after cleansing, and wake up with unbelievably soft skin, and a nice, natural glow.

8.  Tria Beauty Skin Perfecting Blue Light

The Skin Perfecting Blue Light is a great device to have in your skincare arsenal.  Seriously, I’ve used it on a pimple one night, and the next day, the sucker is either gone or minimized.  I think that’s reason enough for it to make my favorite skincare products list (see review).

9.  Sugared Beauty Happy Face Foaming Facial Cleanser Scrub

On days when I do not use my Clarisonic MIA, I use this.  It works great in removing makeup, too! Best of all, it’s natural.   I’m into foaming things, so that’s a plus, too! Plus, the owner is super nice.

Bonus:  Algenist Triple-Action Micropolish & Peel (see review)
