As I posted before, there were many companies that were scheduled to be at IMATS. It was hard for me not to purchase something from each table. Many notable brands were represented and of course they lived up to their name. Places like Inglot, Jesse’s Girl Cosmetics, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, Stila, LA Splash Cosmetics were packed with an insane amount of people. The Inglot line was almost wrapped around the room. They had the largest station and the most customers because they were offering 30% off.

First up we have OCC- Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics.

Spring 2011 Line

Swatches of the new lip tars the retail for $13

There were two companies that specialized in glitter pigments. Eye Kandy and Get Lit. The young lady in the photo below is wearing Eye Kandy the other pigments are from LIT Cosmetics. LIT Cosmetics is made with all natural ingredients and prides itself in being water based, alcohol free, paraben free, and proplene glycol free (source). The glitter retails for $12.95

Next we have Naked Cosmetics. Just like LIT Cosmetics, Naked  is an all natural company and their slogan is “If it’s not NAKED, it’s not natural.”

Like many other pigments

  • If applied with water you get an intense look
  • Mix with Vaseline or clear gloss for a new lip color
  • Mix with clear nail polish for intense colors for your nails

Now on to the station I was most impressed with besides OCC, Stila

We were helped by Stila Global Pro makeup artist and beauty educator Dominick Briguglio. He gave us a detailed explanation of all Stila’s new products for the spring and summer and he also created a FLAWLESS look for Shelly.

The newest products are the one step bronze $36, perfect and correct foundation $44, and the sparkle waterproof liquid eyeliner $22 from their summer 2011 collection

The bronzer and foundation are both extremely light weight, which is a must for the summer. What is great about the foundation is the buildable coverage and if you want the Beyonce or J Lo glow then the one step bronzer is  a must have. Dominick also explained that stila now incorporates a new technique called ” Youth Revival Bio-Available Mineral Complex” or “Smart Makeup.” The foundation has a brain of its own basically and reads what type of skin you have. If you have oily or dry skin, the makeup will keep it balanced.

Key Benefits (source)

  • Contains potent antioxidants & skin soothing chamomile
  • Helps diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Helps hydrate & balance

The “Youth Revival Bio-Available Mineral Complex” stands for

r – radiant finish

As you can see Stila has me sold on their products. Shelly actually purchased the foundation and concealer. When we left IMATS she received so many compliments on her skin. It was seriously unbelievable. Everyone kept saying she was glowing. Here is Dominick working his magic

  1. Shelly’s skin looks amazing! I’m always looking for make-up that looks as natural as my skin and gives a flawless look that’s not cakey on my face. I definitely am thinking about purchasing this for myself. :o)
